On my old Golf Mk4 I had 18's on it and they ripped massive holes on the wheel arch lining and it passed 2 MOT's. Maybe I had a leanient tester I don't know but a pass is a pass! :cool:

I'm thinking of removing mine, thought about filling and spraying but if it cracks, will look very pikey, keep checking the breakers for some cup covers, hard to come by tho unless you want to pay through the nose for them.

It's not MOT fail, mine haven't worked since I bought it and it passed on Friday, they are a legal requirement at point of manufacture, but after that there is no actual check on an MOT.

Yeh same happened on mine, you can align the catch I believe. I just put copper grease on it.... sorted.

Is the bonnet lever still tight when pulling it?

Mines always run on 99 super, put regular 95 stuff in it and light came on after about 10miles, next time i filled up with 99 again and light soon went out!! Just Coinsidence then?? I'm not saying that's whats caused it, but the question is "what can I check before I take it to the garage?" I'm...

It's based on how you are driving the car, as above if you are sat idling it will go down, it will also go down rapidly if you thrash it. It will get more steady the more miles you do after the reset. Nothing to worry about.

Mine came on yesterday for no reason at all, cars running fine though, It was slinging it down with rain so i'm putting it down to that lol!! Goes in for MOT in a couple of weeks, so I'm sure they will let me no if anything is wrong by giving it a big fat FAIL!!

It should support any bluetooth headset, but iPhones are renowned for their very poor bluetooth strength, I take it you have both devices next to each other when trying to pair them?

At what point does it come up with error 1013? I mean, just before the error what does it say in the bar at the top of iTunes? Yeh there should be no gs.hosts in any of the three host files. if you have already done this then I'm not sure what to suggest...... Are you running the latest version...

Apologies if this is in the wrong section. Is it true that headlamp wash is a must with HID lights for an MOT?? mine don't work and was wondering if I need to get them sorted by the time it goes in in April.

Mines the same on the drivers side, A mate of mine who's into his cars told me it was a top-mount bearing, whatever one of those is?! I'm not very mechanically minded! :o It's been like it on mine for about six months now, never caused a problem....... YET (touch wood)

They just filled back up with grease and put new clip on.

It was making a knocking noise a while back, and when i took it to the garage they said the clip had come off and all the grease had come out :S. It has been washed a few times since then so this is a new leak. Could it be that again? Or are you pretty sure its split?
