Alright lads, well I'll cut straight to the chase. For personal reasons I have decided to put the old girl up for sale.
Circumstances have changed in my life that are more important, and I need to sell the 5 Evo to a loving home and to someone who is after an interesting project.
I'm open to...
Alright lads, received the valve cover, and plug cover plus two large breather fixing for the rest of the cover.
All assembled.
Plus I've had the rear brakes re-conditioned, they came out a lot better than what I thought.
Thanks for looking guys
A little update for you boys. Due to clearance issues in the engine bay, I've had a valve cover made that increases the clearance, plus had a little engraving done at the same time.
Also I bought some arches to help us start to shape them up.
Cheers for looking guys.
Thank you.
Cheers buddy
The bodywork will be completely custom utilising GTT front and rear bumpers, GTT side skirts, and the arches will have a WRC look about them, it's hard to describe but I know what it looks like in my head.... along with the voices that seem to come and go.
Cheers...
:cool::up: Cheers
Thank you
Fingers crossed it'll be a hoot to drive
Thank you
It is true, as men get older toys become more expensive.
Fair point sir, but the brakes that I wanted to run on the front were 330mm so practically had to go with a 17" wheel, plus deploying 460lbft torque...
Cheers for the comments boys, and yes my Mrs is very understanding :innocent:
The spec of the engine will be 2.0 long rod conversion, with Kelford 272 cams and a TD05 turbo from a Evo X. A similar spec engine ran 450hp/460lbft. So with the car coming in at AROUND the 1000kilo mark it will make...
Yes mate it'll be road legal, but capable being used on track. I used to have a track only bike which was a great bit of kit, but on nice sunny mornings it killed me thinking I couldn't take it out for a blast, so I thought balls to that I'm not doing that again, ha :yum:
Cheers mate :cool...
Cheers
Yes the shell was solid, and it is a bit tight, but Dave package the car well. The driving position is perfect with a great field view, that was one of the big turning points in the build to get that spot on.
So this is how the car is now. We dropped the car off to get some of the next jobs underway, fuel system, exhaust, pretty much everything to complete a full dry build, before stripping it down for painting and powder coating. Thank you for your help @Meek_racing
Cheer for looking guys, any...
Alright fella's, I haven't posted on here for a while now, but thought I'd share my little project that has been progressing over the past couple of years, I hope you guys like it.
It started out as a standard R5 campus which I used for a while and to be honest was a fantastic little machine...
Gutted for you, i hope you get the problem sorted soon, looking forward to seeing what she does. Are you going to have a base map first to bed the engine in? or going for maximum warp speed straight away? Fantastic car btw.
