Thanks for that shepperdspie...Only 2 hours labour ?? I thought the water pump was dead awkward....front bumper and headlight off etc etc !!

Same place I always take the cars.They actually did the timing belt about 10k ago,but obviously not the water pump !!

Bingo...just tried that mate.Sure enough,water peeing out on belt side.It's booked into garage tomorrow afternoon so we'll see.If it's the water pump,are we looking at much cash ?

Our 182 is overheating.We top up the water regularly and there is no loss of water when it is stood still overnight for example.Upon driving,water is getting lost somewhere and causing the engine to overheat. First thought was head gasket but having looked at oil filler cap it's perfectly...

For future reference,dont suppose you know if the outlet valve which seperates from the bottom of the pump comes on it's own or do you need to buy the whole pump ?

Obviously the 172 has a different bottle and pump....renault and their wisdom !! Managed to sort mine...not the actual pump but the rubber had swollen in the outlet valve on the bottom of the pump.Split the valve,trimmed the rubber and sorted.

Deffo.....mine plugs into bottle from on the side of the pump not the bottom..will keep you posted !!:)

great link rory but not the right one !! Mine's the same as mark123,water intake from the side.As I said earlier,mine's got citroen and peugeot on it so it must be fairly popular....will try local parts places...I take it you all agree that it's the pump that's fcuked !!

Not entirely sure which motor I want....I notice mine has citroen and peugeot signs on it so obviously a common one.testing mine in a jug of water,with lights on I get a squirt,without the lights the motor still fires but no water.I'm guessing that the part of the motor which feeds front and...

Anyone know where I can source a new motor/pump for a 182 washer bottle ?!!! cheers

Never mind the noise........I can't believe the prices !!! My other half's 182 exhaust is knocking on deaths door aswell.Been lookin on ebay etc and they are so expensive.Over the last 10ish years I have owned modded V6 cars and haven't paid anywhere near that for an exhaust !! Anyone know...
