I have had a budget set of coilovers before and i have to say i was pleasantly surprised with the quality they certainly have come down in price and seem well made, it will be interesting to see what these coilovers are like over time, things like corrosion of the threads etc
Bit of an odd problem, usally have a problem with wheels not clearing the front calipers not the rear,
i would also imagine your car most be very low to catch with 8mm spacers??
I would of said these sound like more of a budget street based coilover myself, if they are that soft as someone said do they offer much performance gain on track, surely people would be looking for something stiffer if they are going on track??
Only my opinion from what others have observed...
I didn't mean that, i know they have eight holes as part of the design, what i mean is if you look at the picture all eight are drilled through i thought oz f1s only had four drilled right through and four blanks if that makes any sense,
Sometimes one side does tend to wear more than the other i have found, might be worth getting the tracking checked again though IMO, and maybe get things like ball joints and track rod ends etc checked for any signs of wear,
Only my opinion though by no means an expert on this,
^^ in fairness to the GP driver most polos don't have that type of power!! can't blame him for thinking he was onto to a winner,
I love a good sleeper car though!
They would stick out alot!!! You also need to be careful about what hub size they are, cant see if it states it anywhere,
You may want to message them and ask what hub size they are,
As long as they can get in behind the dent should be quite inexpensive IMO, but being that high up on the boot could be tricky, best bet is to phone a mobile service they usually give a free quotation and tell you if it can be done or not,
Thanks for all your help on this, pulled my switches out today tested them, both seemed absolutely fine, so put them back in and gave it a test drive and works a treat now, not sure what i did but its fixed for the minute!
Can they be adjusted?? i think i read that somewhere, just seems a bit of a coincidence that it has gone now,
By the way are you a Electrical Engineer?, i am and that how i would say it ie n/o n/c,
Yeah the new brake light works ok, is the brake switch etc just a contact so if i take the switch out i can test it easily?
And no i have fitted led brake lights
No i haven't worked before i changed the steering wheel, how ever i had the cambelt done after and didn't check inbetween
I have put LED sidelights in and a cup spolier with new brake light, but that would be clutching at straws a bit?
I have changed my steering wheel recently on my ph2 172 and now the cruise doesn't work, where as the speed limiter works absolutely fine,
When i press the CC button the green light comes on but i can not input anything, the buttons don't do anything, any ideas??
Read abit about the airbag...
I had a set of schmidt modernline splits 16 x 9 and 8 on my mk3 gti they were amazin, i love split rims, they have to be proper splits or not at all for me,
ATS Classics look ace though, just don't put big wheels on it, mk1s definately don't suit anything bigger than 14 IMO,
But this is...
BORING UPDATE:
had my camblet etc done today quite a dull way of spending £500, :dapprove:
although that did include genuine parts timing and aux belt, also did the water pump as it made sense while it was all off,
