    Rear springs

I've snapped a rear spring on my 182, and was wondering if the KYB ones on eBay are the correct ones? They say it fits the 182, but also 1.2, 1.4, 1.5d and so on.....this can't be right, can it? I ask as i've just purchased one from a motor factors today, and upon removal of the snapped one...

    My freshly cleaned RB182

Spent a couple of hours today giving the RB a quick going over, only had it a week and love it already. The only colour I wanted, so very pleased when this one came up for sale. The previous owner has been meticulous with this car, and it shows. 7 by Martins_cars, on Flickr 6 by...

    I'm back...

After being away for a couple of year after selling my 172, and after owning a couple of quick Imprezas and a Leon Cupra, i'm back again with an RB182, and couldn't be happier. I forgot how awesome the Clio Sports were! Anyhow, just thought i'd say hi again! The old 172... The new RB182...

    Car handles funny...

Bit of a strange one this, and i'm damned if I can figure out why it's doing it.... I recently done a few "upgrades" all at the same time to the car....polybushed front end (wishbones, ARB), lowered it on Sportlines, and fitted Turinis. Since doing this, the car doesn't feel "right", at...

    More new wheel content!!

As per the title, as much as I liked the F1's, I wasn't overly happy with the overall look of them on the car due to being all silver, so time for a change! This time, it works, and it works well. Yes, I maybe a sheep and following the masses, maybe it has been done to death, but there is a...

    The 172 "project" thread

I thought it was about time I had a thread up on here to keep updated as and when the Clio changes....so most of this is copied from another forum I use...enjoy! I bought the 172 late January, with the intention of keeping it standard...didn't last too long, as the mods rolled in....what you...

    7.5j wide rim, 195 tyre?

I've been hearing mixed opinions on what tyres to put on my alloys, they're a 7.5j wide rim, and was hoping to stick to a 195 tyre as I have some good ones already, but people are advising a 205. Will 195s fit? I don't want the stretch look if i'm honest. Will 205s be ok on the 172 if...

    Front wheels out of line???

Not sure what's up with my 172 front wheels/suspension really... My passenger side wheel seems to sit further back towards the door/wing than my drivers side one. I'm getting a fair amount of tyre wear on that side also compared to drivers side. Roughly measuring from centre of front to...

    My cleaned Iceberg

The weather has been amazing today, so thought i'd give the car "the works". Love the finish I got today, it's better than if it rolled out of a showroom IMHO, and the sparkly effect of the metallic is awesome, camera picked it up well on the wheels....ignore the kerbed to buggery alloys...

    First decent clean...

As per the title, gave the 172 it's first half decent clean of the year, and since i've had, as its only ever just been quickly washed, got just a quick 3 hour going over today really, quite surprised with the results, didn't think silver would come up quite so well with just one layer of...

    Opinions wanted

Ok then guys and gals.... I thought I was pretty much decided on doing my standard 172 alloys in an anthrecite shade along with the bullets, until tonight when I photoshopped them white, and now im stuck, as I think im leaning more towards the white.... The white 'shop has been lowered...

    Exhausting question

I recently purchased a K-Tec stealth back box for my 172, and went to fit it today, but ran into a slight problem, it doesn't fit as the car already has a Powerflow cat back system on it which I didn't know about, as i've just got the car, and was told it was standard. I'm not a big fan of...

172 Cup valve stem oil seals

I'm looking at buying a Clio Cup to replace my Scooby, and i'm planning on going to look at one this weekend, but the advert says that it's had the valve stem oil seals replaced, the car has only done 69k. My question is, are the oil seals a common problem? At such a mileage? Or has the car...
