So I finished work and go to head home and stop off at asda on the way. Get back in the car after stopping at asda and it wont turn over just get a clicking noise and the battery light on the dash staying on. Just swap the battery out or could it be something else?
When looking in the reservoir on a 182 where should the fluid level sit? Cant see a min/max line or anything and it looks like there's and over flow that comes out the right hand side of it about halfway down?
The wording on MOT certificates makes it sound worse than it is :P waiting on a couple of rear disk spacers arriving cause I cut through the last ones :) Then Im good to go cracking on with the rest of it.
Registration plate lamp bul not working (sorted)
Nearside front shock has negligible damping effect (got parts just waiting to fit them)
Bonnet retaining device inneffective (sorted)
Nearside front track rod end ball join has excessive play (again have parts I'll sort it when I do the shock)...
I take it the spacer block will be on behind the assembly on my 182? So it should just be a relativly straight swap for this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLIO-182-172-DRIVERS-SIDE-STUB-AXLE-ASSEMBLY-ABS-SENSOR-/280806760446?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4161631ffe
Hmmmm not having much success with the hammer and screw driver approach. Gonna use fire for the next attempt, anyway to get a better angle im comming in at more than 90 degrees trying to get behind the bearing?

In my epic quest to get my 182 through an MOT I need to replace the precat lamda. Ive tried letting the cat heat up and a bit of WD40. Pretty awkward trying to get accsess on axel stands any other tips?
Hi folks
Trying to change the rear discs on my 182. 1 Disk came off no problem the other disc seems to be stuck. It wobbles and rotates but wont come off the pin any thoughts? Alsois castrol LM grease ok for regreasing the pin etc?
Cool, think I'll try get a new "slider" anyway as its pretty bashed up and im pretty sure its restricting the pads movment. It was a pain in the ass trying to get it back in.
Whats the little metal clip thing called that slides under the end of the pads at the bottom of the carrier? One of mine is pretty bashed up and in place of the grey wire that stops it falling out was what appears to be a rusty bent paper clip......which I lost.
Anyway whats it called and where...
Hey folks
In my quest to get my 182 back on the road my last hurdle on my refusal certificate is
Front brake application uneven
Front brakes imbalanced
Advisory Brake Failures: RBT front breake imbalance 32%
is this gonna be solved by a strip down clean and regrease?
Cheers
Hi guys gonna be changing my front shocks how do I get the top mount nut off? I can see an 8mm allen key fits? also does the car have to be jacked first or can I crack the nut first then jack it up? (afriad I pull it off the axel stands or somthing)
Cheers
Im on a piper too, think they are also know as GDI or somthing? Great system really well made motorways arent an issue not much louder than standard when your in the car tbh. Also sounds great when you take it up through the revs.
Alright aparently the catalytic converter on my 182 needs replaced Arnold clark wanted £1300 + labour (was in for pre paid MOT). Told them to shove it, looking at the KTR one http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=1265
Any thoughts on it? I know theres no real performance gains to be...
