I recently had a powerflex twisted dog bone mount fitted and since then when accelerating above 3k revs in 1st and 2nd there seems to be quite a loud knocking noise. Was just wondering if this is the norm the car is fine under acceleration and normal driving otherwise
Cheers
Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
Am seriously considering my 172 when I get back from holiday but don't have the time to put it back to standard.
The cars a 2002 02 Monaco blue with 75k. Belts changed 20k ago with 12 months mot and tons of history mods are all pretty choice like
Recaros...
Had my dash strips gear knob and steering wheel insert wrapped in carbon. Blue carbon and Kevlar weave bit different and probably not to everyones taste but it certainly brightens the interior up a bit.
Just a quick question will any 172/182 air bag fit or are they coded somehow to the car. The reason I ask is mine has just decided to go off driving down the m6 after changing my steering wheel last weekend (same airbag though)
Also if anyone has one for sale let me know
Thanks
I bought a 600mm x 1200mm roll of the 3m di-noc from a place called carbon modz for £30, I went into the shop and paid cash though so not sure how much that length would be on their web site. But with all that I covered diamonds, bullets, dash strips, gear knob., steering wheel and rear bumper...
Ive got a 172ff with 172 cup turinis lowered on coilovers. I have 205 tyres as well fitted, front on the 172 seems fine but mine rubbed like hell on the back I have really had to crank the coilovers up at the rear

According to this link they supposed to be later tonight.
205s do fit as I have 172 cup turnins on my 172ff with 205 toyos. However I have had to raise my coilovers at the rear as the turinis were rubbing, where as my 182 wheels with 205's did not. Not sure if this helps or is relevant!
I bought the paint and as it was mates rates it was next to nothing to do the spraying think it came to around £100 would'nt like to guess how much it would be full price as im sure you would pay at least £150 alone for a bonnet respray (at a guess).
After seeing how many variants on the code there was in the paint shop when my car had a little bit of paint due to a scratch on the rear quarter I thought I was going to have to have the whole car resprayed but luckily the colour match was pretty good, I had my bonnet done then as well to get...
Completely understand all the work involved and if I had it done it would have to be done properly as theres no way I would want to see any of the previous colour. The work is not the problem as the car is barely used by me only at weekends so I could leave it with my mate as there is no rush...
God knows why I typed liquid gold, yes meant liquid yellow.
I do like the monaco but also really like the LY and RB colours.
As for wrapping would cost too much as having it sprayed wont really cost me too much
Hi
Am seriously contemplating having my 172 resprayed in liquid gold or racing blue as I can get it done at mates rates and seeing my mates work the finish is fantastic. I know I could go and get a 182 in these colours but both seem to hold top money.
My only concern is that when I come to...
Have fitted a cup spoiler to my 172 and the connector for the break light is different. I went to my local stealers and they were useless so I'm wondering if anyone has come up with a solution or has had the same problem and happens to know if there is a part number/such a part
cheers
Tbh that's the plan. Have a spare climate control and clock/temp guage so going to get them done. Just want a spare set of clocks as I'm sending all the bits to someone else to change the LEDs as it's beyond my skills
thanks for all the other kind comments from everyone
It looks that way when your looking at them from the side but when you look at them straight on they are the same colour, if it gets to me im sure I can have one recovered for not too much money.
