off the top of my head, it sounds like he knows about the belts going on the CS's, and is looking to empty your pockets, sounds electrical, ive blown an engine and you know full well its gone!
yeah your ok to drive to any mot station aslong as its booked in, just depends if you can be arsed with the hassle of probably getting pulled up about it. im goin into the station later to produce my insurance iv printed off that screen in my previous post to see what they say about it...

yeah your allowed, your current one is running untill the 22nd therefore doesnt expire untill then, although good idea getting it ready for the mot before its due unlike me haha
yeah still chuffed with the price but the car was sat for at least 6 months without movement and the last time i looked at the catch it was rusted and getting stuck real bad so all good :)
i know 100% it is legal to drive to and from an mot station, its driving to and from the garage for work thats the problem. and i will be chip ill look into it.
well yours was 465 for belts and water pump mine was 499.99, not much difference but you got more work done than me, aparently they were trying to get hold of me the day i took it in but i must have given them the wrong number but it got done also they have fixed my bonnet catch :) not sure but...

i was insured it just did not come up, cannot get tax without mot cant get mot without the work from renault. i wasnt paying £400+ to get it taken by a recovery company. as some said they thought that you could go to the place of work which i thought made sense...

i insured it this morning and took it, no cops or anything so got there with no hassle just a noisy uncomfortable drive :)

yeah thats what its going there for to get the belts, and cv boot done which it failed on mot, also has an airbag light and emmisions light up but i will get them taken off when it actually goes for the mot.
