hi currently its a 1.6 8v
but wanted to know the options and really how hard it is to do
im not bad with cars atall
did a fair few engine changes on a mazda mx3 race car i had
so reasonably handy with an engine crane
but really the only two i was intrestyed in was either
a 1.7 volvo turbo...
ok yesterday my bearings decided to go in the fronts
did all i needed to do but when taken to a garage they managed to snap one of the caliper securing bolts off when pushing the bearing out
now i take it this cant be welded
as i really need a car to get me to work tomorrow and really am...
i watched mine being done an seriously dont know how you could do it in situe
mine all in so belts pump tensioners etc was £880 inclusive
how much cheaper is it done in situe then??
tell me im an idiot but a clutch at just under 6k??
mines on 20,000 and i havent had mine done??
i know you have to drop the box to do the cambelt and pump...but just seemed extra expense for nothing??
my 2 cents
may not be that mad exterior wise

but how pissed off would you be if you owned a 911 or the sort and pulled up next to this celica :D
freind of mine did this to his corsa but put tv's in the rear lights... and basically hid the rear lights inside the car behoinde the rear window
and i belive the spoilers suposed to look like the car has horns :clown:

Hiya guys just thought id post this up again
didnt know if anyone was intrested or not
there are many prizes to be won on the day
the main ones being two rolling road sessions at performance 3000
cheers guys
Oh an BTW its now £5 per car
not per person as there is no meal
Finally someone exactly on my wave length :D
what youve suggested is exactly what im doing
and i know, i took a while for anyone to ask about the real one
i love clios and think wheter its a 1.2 or a v6, for small little cars there great to drive
i will endevour to try and now steer this thread...
ooh fair enough
if he really does need that much proof he can PM me ;)
im not fussed what you, or anyone else belive if im honest, and although i know its only number, i just kind of feel interegated
your all welcome to your own opinions at the end of the day really arent you
ok, its a 1.6 as stated... did have a 1.2 i was breaking
also... i paid £500 for it as is
didnt spend the money on it myself
its odd, becuase half of you seem to understand, the other half seem confused
anyway, last i really talk of it now
BACK ON TOPIC :rasp:
spacers have been ordered for the...
thanks guys for the positive comments
ive posted a lil thread about the truck too as people seem more intrested in that 2bh haha
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=456725
Why not?
It is rough, admitadely, but it's a run around, maybe I prioritize wrong but I needed an everyday car, this was cheap, and throught the petrol and insurance I'll save on the truck it will pay for itself? Seemed a no brainer to me,
Wat??
See call me weired but I don't understand the issue
The truck, tows the boat and is horrid to drive, ever driven 37' mudterrains on the road and you'd know
The vee, is lush to drive but very expensive, and a two seater with no boot isn't always practical
It's a £500 run around I...
I'll get it out an clean it just for you and then you can see how mint it really is... Notice I said mint, not clean,
And I'm not gonna piss my money up the wall with the rep, just wanted a runaround and thought this would b a twist :), and just noticed with my avatar, shoulda read v6, rep...
I love all this controversey, it's great I challenge any one of you on here to say for a practical run around, you wouldn't have it for £500, all I want is for it to look more comfortable in it's own skin. Not an exact replica of the one I have in the garage! Mygf goes to UNi in Cardiff, the...
yea i cant be doing with 5 studding it etc
whats the point when i have a real one, lol
i think, everyone, including myself knows its never ever going to fool anyone for the real deal
but surely it would be much more sad and pathetic if i was trying to do so and pass it off as a fake
any idea how...
i think its a 1.6 8v??
but im not sure, the one with a huge air box ontop of the engine
and i only bought it as a run around, not to show or anything like that
ill lower it as much as i can
and widen the tyres to start...as i like the wheels atm anyway
and see where that gets me... it just looks...
no definately agree
but the spacers are huge atm, would wider tyres help?
and i was thinking 18z with a better offset
when i get the money
and how much can i lower until i start breaking the kit
and thanks for the pickup, that currently is my daily drive hence the purchase of this lol
no i completely agree
i still needs on hell of alot of work
and although my thread says v6 replica,
i really have no intention of fooling anyone, i just want it to look right in its own skin...
if you know what i mean, so i have no probs with putting a cage etc in
the wheels and lowering are my...
i know ill probobly get stick, again for this one
but i actually think this little car has potential so am trying to realise it
this is how i got it
and now looks like this
i know it still needs lowering, but really not sure what its already been lowered by
so had to guage how much i need to...
