17s will go straight on a 16 valve with lowering, might rub a bit with people in the back. 17s will go straight on an RT but will rub at first, but it will form groves. if your gonna lower it then the rear arch needs to be gutted, took elite 7 hours to do mine! the front aint bad at all apart...

yep herd that too, sorry to confuse you but the 172 has the first service at 12k or 2 years whatever comes first.

i think youll find that you well rub if youve lowered it that much, you may be ok on your own but if you want passengers youll have to get some arch work!

yeah ive got power steering on my 1994 model, 17s well go straight on but it takes a long time to sort thr arches if you want it lowered.

yeah i have girlracer, i bought them before i bought the car cant believe they still come with big orange sweets on the sides. are they easy to fit?

thanks cliojohn, just dont want no trouble coz i put 17s on my RT and lowered it and i wanted even come off the ramp! took 7 hours to fit.
