About to order some eibach sportlines...

I wondered that also. Based on the many reviews I read here, I get mine fitted on Saturday. Seems they lower approx 1 inch.

Back again (With another 172 cup)

Exactly. The previous owner bought and refurbished a spare turini though. Not a bad complaint!

Back again (With another 172 cup)

Thanks for the comments. Took a while finding one in such excellent condition which hadn't been molested . Yep, no headlamp washers in these either. If you don't like luxuries of any kind, they are fun cars ;)

    MOTing my cup

Well took it through this morning, the manager didnt want to know and thought my head was up my arse. Thankfully the guy testing the guy seemed to know all about the cups and bounced on the brakes to get me an acceptable reading, job done :)

    MOTing my cup

With me doing this in NI with the DVA Im not sure if they will accept the VOSA? My best bet is to ring head office and pick a fight :(

    MOTing my cup

If all this is such an issue is there not some sort of way of just tightening the rear brakes? Im not very mechanically minded btw lol

    MOTing my cup

25 sounds abit low lol. It's sounding like I will have to argue the bit out tomorrow with them :(

    MOTing my cup

Tell me about it, it's a bundle of shite lol. I just have no idea how I will find this extra 5% brakig effort, I changed discs and pads last month. The bloke at the MOT centre said he understands this part isn't on my motor, buts it's still braking too weak, so do I just argue the point home...

    MOTing my cup

    Dead on thanks

    MOTing my cup

Il give them a shout in the morning thanks. Pretty piss poor that these motors keep failing, then Renault don't have a notion about what is on their cars. The only thing throwing me of is it went through MOT fine last year

    MOTing my cup

Yeh it's just I see you lot have VOSA to complain to when the garage gets it wrong, I can't really attempt to go over anyones head at a dvta office, that's another problem I have ffs
  19. smyth88

    MOTing my cup

Got ya. Sorry if I come across as stupid but is VOSA a mainland thing? Or do they cover MOTs here in NI?
  20. smyth88

    MOTing my cup

I'm in NI, we only have like 3 testing centres :(

    MOTing my cup

Thanks. But surely my overall braking needs to hit a certain percentage? But does tightening the handbrake have any effect on the brake pedal? I'm tired of garages being c***s lol
  22. smyth88

    MOTing my cup

As I said lol, but my overall braking effort is 45%, 5% below what it should be, will tightening the handbrake increase braking effort at the foot?
  23. smyth88

    MOTing my cup

Right I accept that the load sensing valve is on these and isn't used, the MOT centre accept this, but the garage doing the work is insisting on fitting this to my car at a cost of 124 + vat :( I've been told by a reliable source that simply tightening the handbrake will increase the overall...

Rattle coming from under the 182

Rattle coming from under the 182
