thing is its supposed to be a clio sport, and u cant even boot it in first gear!
thats the whole idea of it being a sport, is to rev it to s**t.
my mate can rev his 1.2 harder than me without it sounding like a machine gun lol
okay no worries, theres a motorsport shop near me. phoned them up today as the owners son has a 172 track ****, just to see if they could offer any advice.
they reccomend changing all the engine mounts and gearbox mounts.
doesnt sound like something i would want to try myself.
would a mechanic laugh at me if i walked up to him and said i think this is the solution to my problem, would you help me out for a few quid?
im new to the whole clio sport thing.
just wondering if there is any aftermarket exhaust that alot of owners on here use and is recommended?
not sure if anyone knows about the pugsport for the pug gti 106's
something similar to that if you get what i mean.
cheers
these lights come on all at once, but then after starting and stopping the ignition they generally go off...
performance wise theres nothign wrong except the loud knocking noise alot of 172 owners get in 1st when nailing it...
any help please
ahhright cool so its a normal noise then, only happens in 1st when your giving it some 4-5k rev's+ may get it in for a service just to be on the safe side. what does o/c mean?
swapped my ibiza cupra for this 172 tonight, with 600quid my way :)

only thing is the service, abs and traction control lights came on when i spun the wheels with traction control off, when i stopped and started the engine the lights cancelled...
yeah i loved it, got a video somewhere of me filming us going round the back lanes in my mates gti. if you watch for a few mins you get to the fun bits.....

not sure really, had it up for sale/px and bin offered a 172 and some dollar my way.
i agree with alot of people on here that say straight line speed isnt everything.
as my cupra is quick in a straight line, i wouldnt rate its handling at all. also to put a proper suspension setup on a cupra...
hey just joined, have an ibiza cupra at the moment, which is for sale and maybe getting a 172...
im from plymouth area, feel free to let me know if you're from the area..
not a massive job then really, i paid about that on my cupra. also mates rates will bring it down a bit....
so whats the best and worst things about 172's from your own experiences rather than wat i read on parkers and other review sites
