Yeah, think 40-50 probably bit excessive!
The damage is pretty bad though. I know it doesn't look like much from the picture I have posted, but the entire boot floor is crumpled inside.
Probably, as you say, 30, by the time he actually came into contact with my rear end!
Not too sure what speed he was going to be honest. I saw him coming behind me and knew he wouldnt be able to stop i would estimate he was doing about 40-50 mph. Think the damage is bad as I was completely stationary with my brakes on.
As it's been wrote off as a Cat C my insuarnce have advised I would have to have it VIN(?) checked and alo have it OK'd by the DVLA and also have a new MOT put on it before they would insure it again.
Too much hassle to be honest, just cut my losses and strip it.
Once i get the compensation...
To be honset I'm gutted. Have bought a Saxo VTR as a little runaround for now *cringe* as I've just bought a house.
The difference in coming from me clio into the Saxo is ridiculous. Had everything in the Clio - Climate Control, auto lights etc. Now i got a shitty Saxo that has no interior...
I have Dynamique seats in it. IIRC they are the same as the Clio Cup seats, big bolsters and "flippy out" headrests. If your interested in them PM me dude
Yeah dude, 172 wings, all recently sprayed in Pearl Black too. Front bumper isn't in very good condition as about a week before me crash I hit a dog, no dents in it just that the paint has come off and clips have broken on it. PM me dude
Got the car back already dude. Insurance settled for £2500 and i can sell everything off it. Got coilies n all on there so they'll all be up for sale soon
Bought the car back off the insurance so yeah, trying to sell everything off of it. Wheels already up in the for sale section. Looking to sell everything. PM me dude
Time to say goodbye to my 1.2 172 replica :-(
Somebody went into the back of me and insurance have decided to write it off :-(
Car Before
As it Stands Now
Gutted....
I've spent around £2000 on the car. I've done more stuff since I last posted, I've had the side strips colour coded, HID lights fitted, sorted the gap under the front bumper and also had the wheels re-done. Might post some more pics soon
Went out to the car this afternoon to change my headlight bulb, just happened to glance at my drivers side top mount and noticed that the metal that it sits on top of (the bit that is in between the top and bottom part of the mount) has began TEARING away!!
I've got Vmaxx coil overs on the...
Finally got this problem sorted, it was the two lambda (sp?) sensors had gone, along with all the wiring that goes to them.
How Renualt didn't pick this up when it went for diagnostics, I have no idea!
All sorted now though!
Still not sorted this out, ive had it in renault on the computa but nothing is showing up, they seem to think its the throttle body but arent 100% sure
Ok, I've got an '04 1.2 16v. Recently it's been playing up. When you accelerate, it just struggles, I can have my foot to the floor and it won't move, or I'll be driving along the motorway at like 70, and the car will just die, the speed drops to like 50 and then it'll go again.
I was...
I used to have 6 x 9's in my parcel shelf in my polo, sounded crap on standard parcel shelf.
In my clio I have an MDF parcel shelf (think it cost me about £60) it's covered with carpet etc, and you can't see the speaker through it either (so no one should try and nick them!!)
Much better sound...
mine did this, was a t**t to start always juddery but then once it started it drove fine.
Turned out to be the head gasket, probably not what you wanted to hear!
