Hi all, sorry to hijack this thread but it seems relevant. I bought two rear dampers from Renault Parts Direct (link below). They don't come with the top bump stops (as shown in the photo on the link) so i thought it would be easy enough to re-use my existing ones. However, i cant for the life...

I have them on my trophy. They seem very similar to standard but slightly stiffer and about 20-30mm lower. iirc they were around £475 for all four springs which is a bargain when a standard Trophy front spring is £180 each!!

Just to add to this, i used my old ABS rings on a set of new rear discs. I used a bearing puller to get them off along with some WD40 and a wire brush to get most of the rust off first. Be carful to pull it off evenly as i did bend one slightly (straightened it in a vice) Then I used some...

i have seen non-genuine ABS rings for sale online, but i meant the discs with bearings and ABS rings already fitted from renault.

ahh okay thanks fred, yeah they do. hopefully it will fit, I think i am going to buy some genuine renault ones before hand just in case though.

Yeah you got it. Be careful with the bolt spacing though. I think your car should be 10mm iirc. Not 100% on that though, might be worth measuring or getting confirmation elsewhere before you buy.

will need replacing, not too much iirc and very easy to do if you fancy saving some money.

Check your lower ball joints, quite a common issue. Should be able to feel it when you turn the wheel.

yep, acoustic valve, located in front of near side front wheel by the horn and the air feed to your induction filter.

What does the cannister do exactly? I think i might have this, although its very intermittent. Can just hear a knocking noise every now and then from inside the car, but barely hear it from outside.

yeah I have one, I find battery is fine unless i want to listen to music or use it for a few hours for anything, then I find it only lasts barely a day. its supposed to be 9 days!?! Other than that I love the phone :)
