That's just not possible. If you give the new owner the V5 with your cherished plate on (and sign it etc), then by default the plate now belongs to the new owner of your car.

Yes but you have to be the registered keeper of BOTH vehicles (and be in the possession of both V5s) to transfer a plate. It costs £80 to transfer. £105 to retain.

I had GSD3's on my Mondeo - they were exceptional. I had them on my first MX-5 - and they were awful (tread pattern didn't work with the car for some reason). I then changed to T1-Rs, and have these on my current MX-5 - they're just brilliant. Even in the recent snow they haven't been too...

MX-5, no question. The Megane is horrific, comparatively. It's more of a boat with wheels ;).

It has 160bhp, 7.5 seconds ish to 60. It's not particularly qucik but then it isn't a slouch by any means - beats most things I find? The handling is sublime, and the fact you are only a few inches off the ground (even more so now it's lowered) means that you "feel" quicker than you are.

No, I just have a hard top for it. I put it on when I couldn't drive it without it getting wet (mid-November), and it'll come off again at the end of January - so that I can spend more time with the roof down :) After all, that is what it's for. Re: lowering - it not only looks better, handles...

... MX-5 I only had my 182 for three months, I just didn't get on with it, for a variety of reasons (the primary one being that it wasn't a convertible!). Before it, I had an MX-5 and I've had my 2nd one for three months now - what you think??

Had my iPhone 16Gb 3G for 11.5 months now. Today I lost the "mute" slider - fell off when I pressed it. There is loads of dust under the screen. Keep losing signal randomly, having to reboot to get it back. I've got a genius appointment tomorrow - should I expect a new/reconditioned phone? :S

Your costs are wrong. It will cost you £80 to transfer it to another vehicle that you own - but you won't be able to do that as you theoretically are no longer the RK of your previous car. You need to place the plate on retention, and this will cost the £80 transfer fee plus £25 for 12 months...

Can anyone tell me the offset and PCD for a 1993 Clio 1.4 RT? I'm looking to put some alloys on it (as the current tyres are rubbish) but no idea where to start looking!!
