Howdy chaps, I've got the day off sorting out bills etc, and the first one I need to sort is Virgin. My latest bill came through at £87 yesterday! Up from £73 due to their price rises (that's almost 20% btw!)
I'm currently getting:
Broadband XL (120mb)
TV XL
Phone M (the most basic as I don't...
Howdy folks,
I'll be moving into my new build house at the end of August, just have to wait for it to be built!
But I'm already thinking of my audio setup.
I know I'll be getting the Samsung F8000 TV, unless something else comes out before I move in, but of course it's silly to buy it now as...
I'll be doing a lot of cycling shortly, so today was just chilling at home....cleaning my Mum's car.....as you do! The paintwork is a right state, the previous owner must have used a scouring pad to clean it! But anywho....I didn't want to do a massive correction detail as it would take ages, so...
As the Exige was picked up today, all my love is now devoted to the Meg ;)
I wanted to give it a proper decon treatment, as there's loads of tiny back spots everywhere, and the paintwork is relatively rough too (nothing major at all!)
After a wash, it was out with the Iron-X everywhere...
Photos from today :)
If you want the high res photos, do the following.
- open the link to the gallery --> http://www.danfreemanphotography.com/blog/2013/03/llandow-track-day-7th-march/
- find the pics you want, and note down the filename. It'll be something like DSC0825web.jpg. I just need...
Howdy chaps,
I'm just having a redesign of my site, and just want some feedback to see if it works, and by 'works', I mean is it easy to navigate/use?
The biggest difference, due to limitations of the theme, is that each gallery is comprised of sub galleries.
Also, it should look pretty...
Finally....it's only taken my third time there to actually bring a tripod with me!
I did another quick visit to the peak, but caught the sun at the wrong time :(
Then....it was just a case of wandering around taking long exposure shots:
Love that city. Hope it's not too long...
So yesterday evening Dave and I headed into Gloucester just for a mess about, and for me to practice some more light painting.....trying to improve on disappointing results I have achieved previously.
The first location was the stereotypical car park, but we knew it would be quiet, so it was...
I'm currently nearing the end of a pretty long trip (for me) to Brazil and Argentina. I wish I had brought my SLR with me, as I had no idea about some of the places I've visited after work. But....I'll make up for that when I go to Hong Kong in a couple of weeks.
I did however have my trusty...
As I was messing about os on a flight earlier, I noticed that every photo that I had editied using the auto-enhance feature is massively reduced in resolution.
For example, an 8MP photo is resized to almost 1MP! That's a massive downsize.
Has anyone else noticed this?
Pretty annoyed...
Hopefully I'll have a crack at changing the oil tomorrow.
2 things:
1) Where can I buy a oil drain pan, or something similar? (at a shop, so need it tomorrow)
2) Where/how do you dispose of the used oil?
Ta

* Title should read an ;)
So I had my first proper go with my new rig parts yesterday.
First up was a test shot on my Dad's cannel boat:
All seemed to go fine, so up next was the TT:
And for you guys who keep asking....here's some set ups, and a shot straight from the camera :)
Back into the swing of...
Had a slight issue today when I was rigging my Exige. I think as it was so hot, the paint must have softened up a bit, and with the weight of the rig pushing down.....it created an impression in the surface.
These are about as good as I can capture for now to show it:
So what's the best...
Apple is not turning out to be the most reliable products I've ever owned. I'm on my 3rd iPhone now, and 4th MBP.
Now I have a problem with my iMac. Since a couple of days ago, there's a loud buzzing sound coming from the top left of the display. I've done a bit of googling, and I've seen many...
Sorry.....another ICE question!
Since updating my old Blaupunkt unit to something a bit more modern, a Sony CDX-GT560 unit....I've not been very impressed with the sound since fitting.
This evening I had the dash off the car, so I could easily do a quick comparison....using the same CD...
Basically I'm looking to update my dated front interior speakers to something a bit more modern.
There only 10cm in size, so the options are pretty limited BUT....I notice that I can either get a 2-way coaxial or 3-way coaxial.
What's the difference?!
Am I really going to notice a difference...
Ok so this isn't about a Clio part, but I'm a loyal member anyway ;)
Basically, I want my rear diffuser resprayed as it's a bit tatty....and as pretty much everything on the car is either yellow or black....an aluminium finish looks a bit odd.
I don't want to do it myself with rattle cans, as...
May as well start a new thread for this, as the other one was getting more off topic.
Really impressed with what I've read/seen of these products, so I'm looking at getting this:
http://gtechniq.com/shop/3s-for-cars/kits/gtechniq-tsp-exterior-only/
I was looking at the full kit, but a couple...
For some completely unknown reason, as I got my phone out as I was track side at Llandow today, the lock button gradually stopped working.
As I try it now, it has no 'click', and doesn't move at all (and obviously doesn't wake the phone up).
Quite a major problem if the phone dies, as I won't...
Just a quickie, for my travels I use a shitty blackberry, which I was hoping would be updated soon. But I've recently started taking my iphone with me too, mainly for games and photos. Now as soon as I board the plane, I set it to flight sfe mode, then leave it that way until I get back in the...
Wow what a day!
Congrats to Dave and Emma, it was an amazing day! To say we were lucky with the weather is a massive understatement too.
This is probably my last wedding too, unless it's for someone I know well. Too much pressure to cope with lol! I'm just so worried that one day I'll **** it...
This has been royally pissing me off as of late. If I play embedded YT clips, or on their site....my iMac grinds to a halt. Spinning beach ball, unresponsive....the lot. CPU usage shoots up to 12% as soon as I play a clip (that might not sound like a lot but for an i7 that is)
It's happened...
I love messing about with long exposures, I really like to photograph things in ways you can't see yourself normally. So I broke out the Big Stopper (and more) to have a play.
I found a promising location a couple of miles away, a nice lonely tree. Something very photogenic about those....so I...
How much do you reckon a garage should/would charge to fit 4 tyres to some alloys?
I have some shiny new AD08s and want them fitted to my shiny new TD 1.2s, and balanced etc.
£20? £30?
I have no idea, but it's only a 5-10min job if that.
Landed at 6am, 14 hour flight....no sleep.....absolutely knackered. But I really wanted to go through my pics. Pretty pleased with the night shots.
I was able to borrow a tripod while I was there, hence the long exposure night shots :)

A few more on...
This is driving me absolutely nuts!!
For quite a while I've had this problem on my Mac, and my PC before then (Im pretty sure).
Basically, any download will download about 50-70mb then stops. Just freezes....
So I have to resort to trying to find everything in torrent form, as that'll work...
So here's my shots from our little meet.
A few more on my site: http://www.danfreemanphotography.com/blog/2012/02/an-evening-in-london/
T'was a good evening chaps, although it was bloody cold....probably the reason I didn't take quite as many photos as I thought I would.
Until...
