Might sound stupid, one of my centre caps has broken on my turinis that I bought not long ago. Deciding whether to stick it back on. Wondered whether anyone knew why there is a cap covering just the middle and what its accessing?
Cheers
Theres quite alot of extra you'll need. Im currently doing a conversion myself. If your like me and only looking for moderate gains with out changing the internals, i have got manifold and turbo, then the down pipe, then the 182 link pipe. Youll need the oil feed pipes and return pipes for the...
Right, i have got all the parts near enough, just deciding on whether to put in a paddle clutch or whether just an uprated or standard clutch would be good enough for the conversion? Only looking for 220/230 bhp. Also with engine mounts, have heard that uprating to powerflex bushes does a good...
Im not looking for High pressure, would be looking for a low pressure setup. I never believe people telling me what their car runs at on ebay!
The kit i have got so far is the turbo, manifold, and down pipe, have looked into and will be getting today, Meg 225 injectors and intercooler, what is...
I have had a look at some forums that give the speicfic paint name for this colour but im not sure which it is,
anyone know the name eg ottoman blue, extreme blue etc. and the code?
Cheers
Well I went to power station and got 170 out of my 172, all the others had 182's and were reading around that, nothing like 160! that seems like the roads out! with induction exhaust and remap i have seen many hit 190 thats 172's, for 182's abouut 192bhp ish
yeah I have had a go in a car with one of these and it is to be fair it was mint! only problem is the syncros wear alot quicker because it cant mesh the gears quick enough, (if you do alot of quick shifting) but the shift does feel alot tighter and alot more race like.
the box changed for the 172 in late 2002. so a late Ph2 172 (52,03) had jc5130. Ph2 previous to that had JC5129.
Then the PH1 was different again
The difference is the speedo is run from the gearbox in the earlier one (129) where as now they run from the ABS.
But as the cups dont have ABS...
alright mate, i work at place called bences on armstrong way, opposite morrisons depot. might have seen my silver 172. reg is E8RWN give me a shout if you see me.
my 172 got 170 the last 2 time i rolling roaded it. why dont you service it your self if worried about it, only cost you 50quid. oil, oilfilter, air filter. I change the oil every couple 1000 miles.
335d's are rapid! im pretty sure that the 335d is the twin turbo, small turbo for initial acceleration then the big one take over, cuts out the lag.
My mates dad has the 650, the 5 litre v8. he was was telling me that it easily kept up with his motor.
I was talking about the guy in the 197 not the guy going against me. the guy in the 197 probably messed up the start. I also own a A4 2.0 TDI there is virtually no 1st gear, its a straight change to 2nd but then it takes off.
Got to admit that I had a go against a astra 1.9cdti and although I did it off the line after 20/30 mph it stuck with me. couldnt shake it. Think this driver must have made an error to start at the line, but to be honest i could see the vectra pulling away at like 20 or 30. especially with...
Ive got a 172 cup, am having 182 mani fitted, with new exhaust, ported inlets and induction. The question is do I HAVE to remap it. I got told that if i dotn remap the ECU then could bugger up the engine??
I have been offered a full rolling road remap for the day for £480, is that a good...
thats going to be RAPID! used to have the Zetec s that only had a puny 100BHP and that was nippy. It looks like the WRC fiesta, thats prety sound to be honest. you get a Stg2 turbo clio for that tho, would be alot more fun!!
If the DVLA have it as a Cat C then the information the company gave you when you had the check, is incorrect. They use the DVLA data to give you the info! BUT if it is a cat B they aren't allowed to be put back on the road. Best bet is just to phone the DVLA and if it is Cat C then that is what...
Not saying i approve, but i bet if you walked past you would laugh! thats pretty cappy luck! thats what insuranc is used for. Wont be able to sell them for a long time
Hi, Im going to take off and rub down my anthracite alloys, but i dont know what the paint code is for the colour?

cheers
