With my current MK1 172 coming near to end of warrant (got 83,000kms on it), have to decide if 1) keep the car, 2) get a 182 or 3) Get a Megane 225.... Hrmmm.. decissions :confused:
This seems to be a common problem with the 172s.. Water leaking into the spare wheel area. About a year ago, I supposidly had this fixed by the dealer here, but today when i was having the car down at the tyre place for some tyres, it is all wet in there again. Did renault ever acknowledge this...

As not being in europe, I was wonder where it might be possible to obtain a french country of origin sticker to put on my clio? Seen some that are either just the oval sticker with the letter F or oval stick with french flag and the letter F

has there been any fix issued from Renault for the Mk1 172 with suspension knocking when turning? Located in OZ, but trying to get Renault here todo something or even admit it is a problem is something of a challenge, so wondering what is being done about it oversesa. Ideas where the knokcing...
Ok... theres a good chance Ill be moving from aus to UK for 6months for work. So, my question. whats a reasonable area to rent a place near london ( i gather prety expensive right in).. i guess 30mins travel time in hrmm. guess thats all i need to know atm
Appears that on the rear of my MK1 172, the drivers side brake pads have worn considerably more than the left hand side. what can cause this. is it fixable? Car goes a reno for its 40,000km service soon, so guess theyll sort it but was just curious
Also, since will be replacing the rear pads...
Ive had this before in my 172 Mk1, and the dealers replaced the center silencer. went away.. now its back again after 20,000kms.. So speaking to the dealer, rather than replacing it again (cuz sounds like itll fail again), looking at having it replaced with a straight section of pipe. so goes...

After having the immobiliser/keys die on my OZ clio 172 (and still awaiting parts to fix it), just curious if ppl over in europe have had anything similat to them? Im hoping this is just a isolated thing, but from speaking to a dealer here, have been a "few" cases with both clios and senics...
