Ive a 172 cup and no reliability issues only build quality and routine parts i.e tyres, pads and shocks. At the garage it unusual for a broken down renault to come in other than servicing and wear and tear items.
Completely off the finance discussion but isnt now a house buyers market as the prices have dropped? i know they are going drop again but it cheaper now to buy than same time last year but rent stayed the same if not gone up
depends if yoou can earn more interest in a savings account than you pay back on loan, also look at finance schemes as some you pay interest on but in lieu you can get money off the vehicle, im a vauxhall dealer and we have a finance deposit allowance which is at 4.2% flat but you only have to...
Re: HAND BREAK HELP
You can buy from some motor factors and i know tweeks have got them as a kit is a threded insert which is almost like pop rivoted into the metal and that can take bolts in various sizes, ideal for box setion and double skinned panels.
How do you remove the bullets on the doors, resprayed the bullets on the cup in yellow but now selling and getting rid of the colour coding.
Tried to remove the door card, removed the switch gear, removed the door handle and and unbolted all the torx srews i can find but it seems attached...
this thread is brillian and im a dealer lol, luckily the 3 of us who run the dealers are ex mechanics and all still active in rallying which our service department keep forgetting when they try to bullsh*t us, they same as most garages it just a job to them and got no interests in cars etc. But...
Alot of smart repair companies build up the scrapes etc with a gel at .5mm layer at a time and spray with a activator, doesnt vibrate out and sands to a perfect finish, each layer takes approx 60 seconds to go hard and ready to sand.
Ive replaced the proxes with these on the front (our garage supplier doesnt do toyo unfortunatelly) they are as good as any for my needs, plenty of grip, good in the wet and warm up nicely, cant say much bad about them but i personally felt the proxes gave a bit more feedback but they only...
above 250 sec what you shooting a f1 car. 1st time out auto mode will be plenty, shutter priority only needed when shooting moving objects i.e. motorsport events and even then you dont need a shutter above 1/320 sec.

230+ bhp from a 130 tdi engine not even vw motorsport can get that when they rallied one of those engines in the golf and 500 lb + torque on standard gearbox and shaft will leave alot of cleaning up of metal bits after it exploded.
Im on traders policy £630 a year can have unlimited cars for sale aslong as let them know what i got and can have 7 of my own private cars with unlimited mods. That only on a part time traders policy as the works policy covers me for my full time job.
Got a problem on a 52 clio 1.2, when the interior light is on the setting to come on with the opening of the doors, the light comes on and doesnt turn off at all unless you manualy turn of the light so doesnt come on at all.
Ive replaced the drivers side switch and that made no difference, help...
I hope so he bought the magnex off me as had it on my cup and he kicked off saying it wrong 1 etc and wont fit so i said id do it but dont want look at fool lol. I know it will fit as both our cars came from same garage and only 1 week difference on the reg date.
On the standard cat it has a flange with a sleeve it well mine has, does that still remain when you remove the standard system or do you have to make the sleeve for the magnex mid section to slide over?
Got a friend who im fitting a magnex system to his 172 cup, what modifications do i have to do i.e. sleeve at join to the cat do i have to do in order for it to fit? im doing it thursday so hopefully trying to save time i looked at my system but mines already been done.
The simple solution is to remove approx 1mm when machining the sleeve section that sits inside the rubber then will still allow a slight arc when the struts rotate and does not rub on the rubber, mine has worn the rubber section away leaving metal to metal rubbing so got another set of topmounts.
I know exactly what you mean i run a garage but i been caught out on some of my own purchases, garage excuse is that it is a used car so you have to expect some marks, try the garage, whats the worst they can say is no if no joy bite the bullet and get it repaired thenyou will be happier with car.
If the car was sold with scrathc from a bump, bumper out alligment and a droopy exhaust as it does not affect the operation of the car in anyway whatsoever then a garage does not have to put it right, if the damage wasnt there when you looked at it and signed the order form then when you came...
