Nice one ,glad you mentioned it as I only followed the instructions on the 3m kit but it never mentioned about sealing it ,but like you say after the winter I would probably be back to step one again .cheers .
Buy the 3m kit ,for the money you can't go wrong ,did my last week on my ep3,my headlights were awfull worse than the clio above and they come up like brand new ,the kit costs 16 pound from ebay and I've enough pads left to do a few more cars if I like.
Did I say it wasn't a bargain ? I was just pointing out they sell for a pound in the pound shop ,hence how the guy makes money if he sells 1000s of the things .Chill Daniel you've not wasted my time.
need your help please chaps ,I'm trading my car in for something nicer in the next coming week ,what should i be expecting for my car as trade value ,my car is a 2006 reg corsa sxi plus (last of the old shape),50k 12 months mot and 6 months tax , full service history and 2 owners including my...
Not worth it IMO ,been there and done it ,had my 172 cup cammed by btm ,did feel a lot quicker at first , this was party due to the last owner cocking up the timing belt and it only running at 150 bhp, once cammed it ran at 175 bhp and 168 torque,But have since been in a friends 182 which ran 178...
Would deffo stick with your current setup ,when I bought mine ,I read all the reviews on here ,and ended up very disappointed by the performance ,Realy expensive for just a induction kit .
I've just had my cup cammed by Fred at btm,and that's transformed the car/power delivery,it felt decent before ,it now feels like a quick car.Not cheap after mapping etc ,but still think its worth it.
Cheers for the info guys ,driving over to Bradford soon to pick these seats up ,any of you guys know if I need subframrs to fit ?the guy who I'm buying them off says he has mounting plates and universal seat rails with them,is this all I need to fit the seats?.cheers.
Right looking at buying 2 sparco evo plus seats off eBay,the guy said they come with mounting plates and universal seat rails,is this everything needed for them to fit into my Clio.cheers .
They look great, just seen 2x sparco evo 2 seats on eBay,there 400 pound for the pair ,brand new ,look really nice .The question I have is will people still be able to get in the back if I put the seats on runners as the seats won't collapse like the standard seats?
Looking for some nice seats for my 172 cup, spec must be as light or lighter than a standard cup seat, also trying to set a budget for 500 pound this includes 2 seats and sub frames.Any body got any ideas(pics or links?),not after full on track seats ,just something that looks better than my poor...
Nice car my friend, put a standard air box back on with a uprated filter in it ,the Bmc air box make a power loss compared to standard airbox.used to have one on my old 172 cup and did back to back rolling road tests on it against the Bmc ,lost 4.5 bhp with the Bmc.
Like you say it's all about condition and no silly mods, because 172's are dirt cheap now ,you see a lot that are either sheds or have silly mods on them ,so refreshing to still see mint examples that still look fresh for their age.
Cheers ,good info, minds made up,going to order one for my car tomo, the thing is I run a stock exhaust because the mrs drives it and hates a boomy exhaust ,hence the decat for a bit of engine note ,but she likes the sound of a induction kit ,because it's not boomy all the time,so winner all round.
Thinking about getting one of these kits, but just had my car cammed and mapped on a standard air box and paper filter, will I see any gains/improvements.cheers
Will put my rr printout soon, like I said the car feels loads quicker. But we think it only had around 150 bhp to start with, this was due to jaguar not timeing the car up properly at the last timeing belt change.God knows why the last owner took it to jag for a timeing belt, still think there is...
