i run my mini at santa pod last weekend at mini's in the park.
it did really well with a best time of 12.9@108mph which was over a second quicker than any other na vtec mini that was there.
i also beat a supercharged b16 a turbo'd b16 and a rwd cosworth mini, between those three the best time...

took the mini for its first outing at oulton park yesterday for a shakedown test.
it highlighted some pretty big issues like rear tyres scraping on the metal arches and causing the rear end to drag round and make the rear snap out and making me spin. also when engine had got hot after a few laps...

i bought a classic mini a couple of months back with a siezed engine so thought now would be a good time to fit my honda b16 on itb's

i have started work now and have ripeed the front end off and cleaned and painted all the subframe and all the suspesion and brakes...

we decided to give her a few bits to match the cage and fitted thephase 2 rear bumper.

i have had my coilovers fit and i will be getting the car tracked up and the camber done,
what im after knowing is what is the best degree to set the camber up for track
the car is rarely used on the road and i want the best set up for track.

i went to fit my camber bolts which i purchased off a fellow cs member but when i put them in the top holes of the strut they just wiggle around and do sweet FA.
now am i doing something wrong or are they wrong for my car?
are they the same for all mk2 clios or are they specific for each car?

right i have the ideal opertunity of a full respray on the clio.
its something i have wanted to do for a while but not been inspired :(
i think the problem is choosing a colour, the colours i have been considering are rb, white, my painter is really keen on doing it in the GULF petrol colours...

im thinking of putting a set of spacers on my phase1 172 but want to know if its a good idea,the car only gets used on trackdays and is on sportline springs for now,
the wheels that are fitted are pro race1s which are et45 so i just want to bring the wheel out by about 5mm but want to be sure...

i had my phase 1 172 on the dyno today, it has a decat and a blue flame exhaust and my own diy matched inlets. to say the least im more than happy with the results :) i think its quite strong for what it is
right i have gone to bolt a phase 2 system onto my phase 1 172 and the centre section seems to be about 2 inches to short :( the backbox fits fine it just wont meet up to the cat. am i right in thinking i need a pahse 2 cat?
