I'm actually looking at getting a spare myself, just in case and am wondering the same. Does anybody know if i'd be able to use a 16" laguna/espace steel or 17" laguna alloy? I only ask because i don't really want to pay out for a meggy or clio 197 17" alloy when if the others do fit i wont have...
I know theres been a bit of a delay in getting these pics up, but i've finally had a moment to upload them and what not. lol

Dont worry, i am taking it sensibly, especially until i really know what the cars capable of etc. lol i just find it mad that that theres only about £50 in it on my insurance on the 197 compared to what i paid for my 1.4, how the insurers worked that out i'll never know. :/ lol yeah, i'll get...
Well basically i'd been driving a 1.4 Dynamique MK3.....well basically since i passed my test coming on 4 years a go and have been looking at making a change for a while as im now 21 and my insurance isn't a problem anymore. But anyway, i picked up my 197 on Saturday and all i can say is wow...
Can i just say sorry to hear about your car.....but you're getting done for your insurance. I paid under £1000 fully comp on my 06 Clio which is a 1.4 for my first year being as the main driver on my own car, which I was either 17 or 18 for. That was fully comp as well as having a write off that...
Basically, i'm a simpleton when it comes to doing anything with my car. My wiper blades are totally buggered after the cold weather. I've bought some new ones and tbh arn't 100% sure what i'm doing. My wipers are identical to ]he stylle shown above, how do i unclip them? As i don't want to force...
I've got a 1.4 and only do town drivng, literally a couple of miles to work a day and driving too and from my gf's which is again only a couple of miles. I get just under 400 miles on a tank and it does around 31 to 32 miles to a gallon, depending if i do take it on a few longer journeys down...
Cheers guy! I've told her say nothing. The first time they called her she was really vague to them. They phoned her home earlier today and her dad had a right go at them for keep phoning. I thought it was good to check on here to see what you guys would do as well though as you lot are so...
Hi, basically my gf was involved in a hit and run accident, however luckily for her she had witnesses who got the other cars number plate. So basically she phoned up her insurance etc. who have written the car off now. She's with elephant, who she's given all the details to etc. However the...
Oh right, that does make me feel slightly better about it knowing that most likely that there isnt a problem. Ill definetley think about getting some of that silica gel though.
Yeah, they are. They're all made of solid alluminium, as they look good and are easy to clean. There was some serious condensation under the back ones though, you're right, the mold was found literally next to these. Would this have been the problem then. Regarding to silica gel, how long...
Hi, i was just wondering if anybody else has had this problem. Basically i havn't drivin my car in a couple of months, as it's just always been easier that my GF's driven and used her car, meaning that my car's just been sitting at the back of her drive. I decided to fill it up yeserday though...
I'm not sure if i like it or not tbh. I think it's like the Mk3 was, with it growing on you every time you see it. I mean originally i didn't like the Mk3 at all, but then i went out and am driving one now. lol
Hi, i got in my car as normal yesterday, however turned the heating onto 1 and noticed a rattle coming from the wind screen vent. I then turned the heating up to full, turned it back down to 1 and it was gone. The exact same thing happened today as well. I've never noticed this before. Is it...
I get people saying this as well tbh. I've just given up arguing with them tbh. When they know jack shite about cars i can't even be bothered to argue with them. Most of them even personally know of one that have had serious issues, let alone even driven one. I mean at the end of the day all i...
I've had that a couple of times, but not enough that i even thought of mentioning it tbh. You only realise it's not in gear when you actually put your foot down and all you get is reving. lol It's better than the Phase 2's issue though of thinking it's in reverse when it's actually in gear 1...
I've got a Mk3 1.4 16v Dynamique myself, which i've had since about July and would definitely recommend them. I had a Mk2 Phase 2 1.4 16v Dynamique before, which i'd still have if it didn't get written off my a Landrover and have to say the Mk3 is better in every way. The gear stick is better as...
It doesn't matter anymore, i just fitted it this morning and it turns out that the cable is so long that even putting it through the glove box the cable can reach the drinks holder. From what i can see this is the only way of doing it in the Mk3. However tbh the Mk3 one from what i experienced...
Hi, i ordered one of Floridadaz's Aux cables, wich literally arrived next day and would just like to know how other Mk3 owners have got there cables out. The reason i say this is because you can't take the ashtray out from the Mk3 like you can the Mk2. There's a hole from the the glove box which...
Hi, i've searched the forums using the search button however havn't been able to find any thread that can help me. Exactly what is the best way of getting a wire to the engine bay from in the car as all the ways that i've looked at have been blocked off from one side or another and am close to...
