As already said, use a foam applicator pad, a little QD or even water on the pad, and a half turn of the applicator pad in the wax tin, and apply. Thinly is the key.
I use Autobrites Sparkle (glass cleaner) on all the windows and shower doors. I also use Autobrites Repel (like Rain X only better) on the shower doors. Meguirs All Purpose Cleaner on wooden floors, carpets, pvc window/door frames, wipe down of tiles in bathroom. Collinte 476 on all the tiles in...
On my MKIII at idle I used to have a vibration. Took the bumper of and the sponge padding for the washer bottle had moved and was causing the vibration.
This solved the vibration problem. Now in the warm weather my car sounds like a rusty old wheel barrow...need to see if I have dry bearings...
Update:
Just filled the car up this morning:
Done 629.4 miles (this was mixed driving - the last 5 days I have been driving 20 miles round trip via back roads to work, also motorway driving at 70mph)
Filled up 50.88 litres @ £1.19.9
Fuel consumption 56.24
I started using cheaper diesel (non...
Topped up this morning with diesel:
Done 362 miles (20 miles of this was town driving)
Filled up 29.93 litres at £1.219
Fuel consumption 54.98
A little better than I was getting, I might drive at 70mph on the motorway this week to see what I return in mpg.
I was using cheaper diesel for a while, but I am back using BP, and not seeing any increase in mpg, so I am going back to the cheaper diesel, which is 3p per litre cheaper. I have tried using Millers additive etc but seen no different.
I check my tyre pressures every week, I use 35psi front and 32psi back. I have had 2 Mk2 dci 65bhp Clio's and they could easily do nearly 70mpg and never got less than 52mpg in town driving.
Hi
Looking some feed back on this. I have a MK3 106bhp model. I have had it for over 2 years, with 27k on the clock now. I would never say it was easy on fuel with average mpg at 45mpg with a mixture of town/motorway driving. I now drive a round trip of 60 miles per day on motorway and still...
My dad has been using them for 6 years. No problems, even when BT bought them. He's on a pay as you use system. Gets so many gig per month then pays for each gig after that.
I have a MKIII Dci 106bhp for 2 years. Good spaceous car. No major problems, have had a wiper stalk replaced under warranty, and my radio has stopped working, and been told this is common because of the cold weather we have had.
I have a picture of my MKIII Dci 106bhp showing 78mpg. This was done driving 20 miles, filling up with diesel, resetting the trip computer, and then driving back 20 miles at 50mph. My car is lucky to see 52mpg in proper brim to brim filling!!
I used to get in MKII Dci65 a combined 56mpg in town...
I have owned 2 DCI 65bhp. They are nippy enough little cars and hold the road well. Can get over 60mpg out of these little cars and more if you drive on the motorway. Never had anything major wrong with them either.
I will be with them 12 months at the end of October. I moved house in April, and they gave me 3 months free!! When I signed up, I got £60 by going through Quidco, so I've had 9 months free from them!!!
