the tires where michelin about 3 month old, i had a puncture 2 days before this so the are was on, but the tread was all good! thanks mate.

do a search for self diagnostic, theres a forum about doing this your self if u have a stem and a button on ur steering.. basically hold in the button then turn on ur egnition, and press the button several times till you get the error codes then push the millage reset button.. gd luk

i bealive the oil sensors on renaults are p*** tbh, i had a read on here 2 days ago about the self diagnostic built into the cars and mine and my pals come up with ---H which means oil sensor is faulty so even with no oil it sais its fine which is simular to urs.. im not 100% but thats wat me...

well i just paid £250 with renault for the timing belt change etc and the waterpump is covered with autocare..

mine does this simular aswell, if u put the temp high and turn off then turn on the ignition for like 5 secs it will be set to hot and vise-versa, its fuked up, i dont know why it does it but im sure its been covered before..

yeh its because of where the radiator hoses n s**t are! then theres the radiator so its no wonder theres so much heat around that area!

i reported a noise on one of these forums a coupe of days ago, my cars now at renault and ive been told that my timing is out by 180*! even though the belt was done, and there is a noise comming from my water pump which is like a knocking sound? comes and goes every couple of seconds on idle but...

the clio has been making some kind of like a knocking/rattle noise for the last couple of weeks, and ive been having occasional squeeling from what i tohught was the fan belt.. but ive been told it might be the crankshaft bearings on the left of the engine? thats kinda where the noise is comming...

i know it sais heat sheild mate, but its metal, metal in heats= heated up metal! go and put an aluminium plate in the sun for half an hour n see if its hot.. same thing! i have the k-tec induction pipe n that gets roasting after the engine has been running for a while.

i think that will just heat up kevin, its metal mate.

i personally dont know where to get the stuff to do that, i have the ktec carbon one at £100 the ramcharger and its rubbish, how would i re-eoute that? it has that crome piping rubbish.

yeh i think this could be asome handy info, but tbh i have an open induction aswell, and i hate it, way to much heat soak n it drives me nuts! maybe try get some carbon fibre or sumthin? some reflective aluminium tape or watever?
