Stu, yes they're 5mm spacers on the back. Previous set of wheels had 205 tyres which rubbed on the inner arch so the spacers went on to prevent that, and were never taken off afterwards; I preferred the stance.
I couldn't drive it 25K without changing the filter...The ITG isn't in there...
Not wanting to tread on your toes. Just offering for anyone who may be interested or in case you run out of space.:)
I also got my jack from Costco, can't remember which model but it's a 3 tonne low profile jack and was well worth the investment. It's the only jack I could find that would fit...
I can also do a Costco run for anyone interested, willing to pick up most things I can fit in the car.
Send me a PM with enquiries and I'll get back to you with prices/availability the next time I go.
I recommend the Michelin wiper blades, very similar to the Bosch Aerotwins but about £9 per...
As above, I've got a couple of quirks with my alarm:
I've managed to set my alarm off on a number of occaisions but the siren has never made a noise. The indicators flash but nothing else happens.
Also, the auto lock function doesn't work either. I've tried enabling and disabling it a number of...

Afternoon all,
I was wondering if anyone could explain the cause and advise of a solution for the marks that are on my GFs DCi?
Even the local valeting place has said they can't get them off.
It looks like really strong screen wash may be the culprit (there are marks on the bonnet from...
That looks fantastic mate...so good in fact I've got a black Ph1 sitting in the garage with your name on it in a couple of months - I'll drop you a line when I've freed up some cash.
It's a piece of cake.
Follow Fubar's guide in the guides section to remove the dash and then it's just another 4 screws to remove the clocks followed by 2 plugs at the back with all the cables.
If you mean the pressure sensor on high pressure line then it's probably that. I've just had to replace mine because fluid was coming out of it when held on full lock - there was loads of fluid all over the place but was all coming from the pressure switch.
I noticed that after I took the pic but couldn't be bothered to retake it - must have slipped when turning side lights on :o
James/John/Mick - That's not a problem I'm up for doing yours too but I'm not free untill the middle/end of August. Drop me a PM with some contact details & an idea of...
I done mine the other night, it's alot easier than I was expecting.
They were taken in day light which is why I think the white looks so faded - not had a chance to get night pictures yet.
Yeah he was a top bloke when he came and had my engine/gearbox off me and on the track day.
Thanks for the kind comments, I'm going to try and get to a few meets this time round to try and put names to faces and all that.
I wanted something more than just a plain splitter so went with the cupra one. If I get bored it's no hardship to change it over.
Cheers for the comments so far.
To say I was gutted is an understatement. I’m just glad that no injuries were sustained.
This is how it looked when I bought it:
Unfortunately I only had TPFT cover and so stripping the car for parts was the only sensible thing to do:
This left me with a bare shell that...
