I know, I bought it off eBay a while ago. Fitted it to my old Mk1 clio on the plastic strip that connected the rear lights at the bottom of the boot to replace the original badge.
I think the guy advetised it as coming from an Alpine but I'm not convinced.
Hello,
Can anyone tell me the origins of this renault badge and if it has any value?!

Hello,
The steering wheel in my clio has started to fall to pieces but I don't want the hassle/expense of fitting a new one. Has anyone used any of these "genuine leather covers" and what did you think?
Cheers.
lol, it is wierd that they come on so randomly - nothing like crying wolf though as I'm more inclined to ignore the warnings from now on! German next for me too i think...
I'd take it and get it looked at ASAP but wouldn't worry too much. The other day my engine light came on for a day, then disappeared overnight. Last week my friends 1.2 had a failure with the injection system but cured itself within a few minutes!
Is it driving any differently?
Connect mode? How do I do that? I simply put the fat end in the bottom of the iPod and the USB end in the radio facia. It searched for a bit before telling me it was unsupported...
Right, it arrived and fitted a treat. Got my steering wheel controls back, but my iPod doesn't work via USB. I've therefore ordered a USB to 3.5mm jack cable so I can plug it into the headphone socket of the iPod. When I connected it via the USB lead you get with the iPod it said "not supported" :(
That is handy, thanks for all the info. Got a call from the inept sales team who had forgotten to take the issue number of my card....anyway it arrives Monday, finally!
That's good news, and I am lost in today's technological terms - even at the tender age of 23! All I want to do is use the wire that connects the wall charger to the iPod or indeed iPod to PC, and it sounds like I can so I'm happy. Just waiting for the bloody thing to turn up!!
Thanks.
Hello,
I have a dci 80 and am thrilled with it. Got it remapped recently to around 115bhp and it's so much fun. Not blindingly fast but it's only a 1.5l engine after all!
If you think about it they are a great package in terms of road tax, insurance, nippy-ness and fuel consumption.
Thanks,
I found that bit out already actually but had lost the bookmarks! I really meant that not all head units are compatible with the adapter leads ^^ so was wondering which sony units are?
Cheers.
Hello all,
Could someone tell me which Sony headunits in the CDX-GT range are compatible with steering wheel controls? I currently have a GT200 which I now know isn't!
Thanks.
Hello all,
I've booked my car in for a remap next tuesday and am very excited! However I'm not sure if I'm bothered about having a dyno run before and after.
Part of me thinks it would be interesting to see what the power gains would be, but then if I'm happy with the new power I could save...
Same thing happened to mine but my car was still in warranty so they replaced the sensor - been fine since. The renault bloke said that the sensor "senses" every 5 secs or so and in very light rain it can get confused. Sometimes when I drive under trees my wipers move so fast they practically...
It's certainly not as dark or oily looking as engine desposits but I don't have air con. It could just be something I've picked up off the road so I'll keep an eye on it - just wondered if it could be something obvious. Thanks for your help though :)
Well I don't think it's engine, gear or PAS because the patch in question would have dripped from the middle of the rear passenger seats (obviously under the car but that's where it is in relation to the car) so it coud be brake fluid from the lines that feed the rear drums?
Hi,
Does anyone know what might cause an oil patch on my garage floor sourced from what looks to be dead centre on my clio? There are some from under the engine that I've noticed too. It's a 1.5 dci80 and on an 04 plate.
Any suggestions? It has a tuning box fitted at the moment but I'm...
I've also had problems with my DCi 80 but it's OK at the moment (touch wood). Wrote to diesel car magazine and this was their reply:
"...if the valve were not opening at all, then your engine performance would be enhanced, albeit with higher exhaust temperatures, but from your comments, I...
