This could be no help but it might be worth looking into, Millers do some good additives I had this problem (not a 172) but it helped, you never know your luck:approve:
I have a DCI80 Dynamique+ so what's plus stand for? it has AC but not sure of any other difference to a normal dynamique... oh yeah it's group 10 :mad:
WOO HOOO! Just got my remap done from Angel Tuning, I'm over the moon it didn't take too long and was a reasonable price too. The car pulls miles more! I'm not sure of exact figures but I recon it must be knocking on the 100bhp, 1st gear seems to be no different but the pick-up from 1st to 2nd...

It does move a fair bit under acceleration 1/2inch or so yet the mechanic recons it's fine... I've read in other threads that the movement is a common thing :S I've just spotted another thread explaining about a worn mounting under the battery tray I wonder if this could be the problem??? oh as...
I'll look into a 172 mount, I just don't understand how if the engine mount is too soft or has failed that it would make the knocking noise it's making... I'm starting to sulk! :S
I hope someone can help me with this or shed a little light on whats wrong.
The story so far... I can hear and feel knocking at low speed on rough or normal road conditions I can feel it through the pedals and steering wheel. It's not bad enough to stop driving the car but still it's knocking...
Just the sensors. It tells you to do it in the manual when 'washing' the car (so they must know it's too sensitive) if the doors are opened or whatever it'll still go off, but if you leave let say the window open and a robber clambers in then until they force the ignition or try getting out via...
I had this problem and this fixed it for me....
turn ignition key to 'on' twice quickly...
then get out and arm the alram...
the sytem beeps 3 times to indicate the ultrasonics have been disabled.
It's a quick fix until you can get someone to look at it, hope it helps.
