Im averaging 43 - 45mpg i do a 46 mile round trip on mways 65 - 70mph 5 days a week sometimes 7!!!!! so to be fair the petrol costs is not to bad . (i dont like driving my car hard lol)

I have the same prob mate i have had everything checked and had new driveshaft fitted and tyres and tracking done and camber setup, im going to try spacers next to see if i just need a little space from the strut amd wheel.

ithink so mate, i dont think the issue is the gaitors i think its cause its catching the engine when the wheels are turning

it could be slightly out each side and its not lowered to much the wheels are above the arch but im not sure what it is catching not sure if its the engine block.

mines an import and has all the above apart from alarm mob,(Fitted my own) and i got mine from a dealer who never even told me it was an import! iv had the car 5 years and i was only told last year lol.

My 02 172 has done over 105000 miles and is still in good condition only problems i have had is driveshaft and i bought the car with 22000 miles on it.

i had my inner cv boot replaced, and mine had ripped off! but i drove half a mile down the road and i heard a noise front the driverside and it was the big clip had came loose! it ripped of because i dropped the car to low lol! or maybe the whole driveshaft has to be replaced...
