What set up should i use for focus?...i had it on spot focus i think. I agree that quite a few were out of focus.

Hi all, After removing my bumper on the weekend i decided to have a play with my horn which has not been working for the past few weeks. I used my multimeter and got a 12V reading when i depressed the horn. Good i thought just change the horn!..........Fail. Got a new horn from Halfrauds and...

Thanks for the help! I was reading if you instal an aftermarket unit on VAG vehicles it could cause issues with fault finding equipment?... So much so that they would refuse to plug the fault finder in! It's cost the dealers a fortune in broken readers lol

I already had the HU and being mechanical minded didn't see the larger picture in regards to the different protocol. After a quick read the unit being updated enables it to function and read the same as other ECUs on the car. So I'm guessing this would enable fault finding on the sound system...

Just trying to understand now I have been defeated! Lol What else on the car runs on this system? What system do aftermarket HUs work on? Where can I read up on these two systems?

So the loom is the same. If I change the LCD display and wiring between will this change anything. I'm sure you've had enough of my questions by now lol

Out of interest what would you have to change on the loom to make it work? Thanks for all the input so far by the way! Also what after Market unit could be compatible with the stalk?

Ive always been told its best practice to do so but am not sure 100% why its required.
