Ooops!!! I will take more care in the future and give it the 10-15 min warm up. As for the limiter when properly warm it is different through the gears as shift light comes on earlier in 4th than 2nd or 3rd on mine. Not quite managed it in 5th yet!!!

its a nice system and quality made, but i thought it was a bit too noisy for me. Everyone around knew when you were giving it some laldy!!!!(but it is a lovely sound though) If you dont mind throaty then you will love it..Go on get one

Went out in my 172 yesterday and although the temp guage was reading norm, the rev limiter cut in @6200!! then later on it cut in @7000!! is it changed by the ECU dependant on wehther the engine is warmed properly??? I dont like to give it welly when not proper warmed up but thought she was.

yeh, I used to be in the body repair trade, would like to be able to polish it in situ, rather than taking it all off. I have used farecla compound before to flat and polish paint work, just never done it with alloy before!!!

I have a K tec stealth and it is throatier than i thought it would be as they are made by Janspeed. i had one on my Mk 2 Astra 16v and sounded great but im now 34 and not sure if it is too throaty for me. I may consider selling it for £250 as it is only 2 weeks old!! and have invoice to prove.

So explain why it would loose power as people say the origional exhaust are rubbish!!! Even though K-Tec sounds great throaty at low revs and raspy round the top end!

I took delivery of a K-Tec Stealth today and Hubby fitted as he used to be in the trade, Very Throaty low down and great rasp when its on the boil. No rattle on mine and it only took 40 mins to fit, Great quality and loads of adjustment.....Get one!!! its the lick:rasp: . Cost £360 inc delivery.

I have a 2003 172 with 36000 on the clock, What increase should i expect with a Panel filter and a K tec stealth??? I had a Mk2 astra GTE 16V with a Janspeed and a K&N and had 162 at the fly wheel, and that was 11 years ago!!!!
