    K&N air filter...

Cotton filters are proven to be the least restrictive...but maybe they're not so good at stopping impurities from entering the engine. The K&N is cotton whilst the ITG is foam. These are a couple of experiments: http://www.bolhuijo.com/airflowtest/index.html...

    Trophy Turini alloy wheel

Pah...a discount from Renault?? I did try, but they said I had to buy more than 3 wheels to qualify for that! I've now got the new wheel fitted (they swapped the tyre and balanced the wheel for free). I'll fully refurbish the old wheel and sell it on. You can get PE2's on the internet for less...

    Trophy Turini alloy wheel

If anyone wants one of these try Cit-Ren Ltd. When I spoke to them they said they had a Trophy there and the wheels might be avaiable, in the mean time I've decided to be robbed by Renault...

    Trophy Turini alloy wheel

Done all that - haven't seen one of these wheels for sale in a long time. Decided to buy directly from Renault at the ridiculous price of £158!

    What 911 is this?

C4s wheel arches are much more flared than C2 or GT3 - the difference is pretty obvious in the photos. CSLs have a CAF intake hole in the front bumper - other M3s don't have this.

    Trophy Turini alloy wheel

Someone must have one of these they'd like to sell me??

    Trophy Turini alloy wheel

Really need one of these! Has anyone got one going spare or know where I can get one? Needs to be in good condition. Renault seems to be the only one who sells them and they are quite pricey.

    Clio 182 Trophy

I owned a FF 182 about a year ago. Was a great car, but sold it to get a 320d for work. A few weeks ago I decided a Trophy was the way forward so picked up #415. In my honest opinion the Trophy is in a class above my old FF 182, the handling is significantly improved. Some people on here told me...

Alpine X100's in at our car audio shop :)

I'm in the same boat - the Alpine unit looks much nicer but with the bluetooth module is more expensive than the P85bt

Anyone got any pics of it fitted in the clio?

    lookin at upgrading front speakers

These speakers are better than standard speakers when teamed up with a good head unit. I'd recommend them if you're not up for spending loads on your sound system. Heard them in someone elses car so will probably be buying some myself now with an Alpine headunit. Alpine speakers are a bit pants...

    Alpine IDA-X100

The x300 headunit is here: http://www.lowcostcaraudio.co.uk/shop/Alpine-iDA-X300-iDAX300-Digital-Media-Receiver_productJJ3917 If you want the headunit with the BT module the best price I can find is here...

    Alpine IDA-X100

Has anyone got a photo of this unit or a similar unit (e.g. x200, x300) in their clio? I'm thinking about getting the x300, I think these Alpine digital receivers could be one of the best looking aftermarket units for the clio as they are black, not fussy and don't protrude too much. I've...

    Bonnet respray advice

Yes a few of the bodyshops have commented on red being an arse of a colour to match. The general consensus is that it should be blended into wings - this is going to cost about £300+ though which is a bit steep. I'm going to ring the mobile service Car Medic and see what they can do with a bit...

    Bonnet respray advice

Yes it is the same bonnet but even if I bought a new bonnet it would still need painting - I don't need a new bonnet, just to respray my current one...the first quote I've had said they would blend spraying into wings, I'm just not sure this is necessary as it really bumps up the price. I'm...

    Bonnet respray advice

Ok well it sounds like it really depends! It's a bonnet for a Clio trophy so a new bonnet would have to come from Renault main dealer - so pretty pricey.

    Bonnet respray advice

Hi, I'm in the process of getting some quotes for a bonnet respray. The first one I have been to is saying that it is best if the spraying is blended into the wings. Is this true or is this a way of hiding a poor colour match? I realise with metallic paint resprays the blend in is more...

    Changing Oil with Pela pump

What size are fuel rail bolts?

    Changing Oil with Pela pump

The pumps are pretty cheap and a lot cleaner and easier than getting car up and undoing the sump. Sounds like filter should be changed too - I thought that would be the case. I think the best way of doing it is to remove the fuel rail, unless anyone has a better suggestion of making it easier to...

    Changing Oil with Pela pump

Hi, Just got hold of one of these Pela pumps so I can easily change oil in my car more frequently by just sucking up the old oil through dipstick hole. I want to do an oil change every 6 months-8months including regular oil change which is part of the service where filter is changes...

    Good scratch/dent remover near Aldershot/Guildford

Wow, never thought I could trust Halfords!?! I've always been a bit concerned about refurbing the anthracite turinis - is it easy to get a good colour match?

    Good scratch/dent remover near Aldershot/Guildford

Hi, I'm in need of getting a few minor stone chips, scratches and dings repaired. I also need my alloys refurbishing. Anyone know where I can get these things done to a very highest standard - mobile service or garage - I don't mind... I'm located on Surrey/hampshire boarder so anywhere...

    Realistic MPG for a 182

Don't get a diesel...false economy IMO unless you're doing loads of miles. They're expensive when they break down, diesel is now a lot more expensive than petrol, they soon get boring to drive and worst of all even the newest diesels still sound like small tractors... I've tried diesels a couple...

    STOLEN Washer Jets FFS!!!

I changed mine without taking the bumper off, it's a bit fiddly to get to the nylon nut at the back but a lot easier than taking bumper off. Just unscrew and peel back the front wheel arch lining.

    I miss my 182 :-(

Not exactly so bad if you're replacing with a v6, r32, r26 or similar. I've had to go to diesel due to high miles, there was no way I could justify the fuel on the clio for the miles I do...plus the clio was a bit uncomfy on the long motorway runs. Funny thing is now I have a diesel BMW I get a...
