They are interchangable, but there are different. But there isn't one better than the other right ?
I ask because I have a ph2 (dissasembled) and a ph1 and a ph2 boxes (I got a spare just in case) I'm planning to use the ph2 box, but I still can choose...
Forgive for my "technical" English, I'm from Argentina and sometimes the names of the parts are different.
I'm trying to install the ATB diff but I'm having the "crown" of "final gear" (the gear that transfers the torque to the diff). The quaife diff doesn't have this gear, so I' m supposed to...
IAPEL makes pistons for the F4R, they are "standard compression" and a little bit bigger, you can check on their website. But I don´t know if you can get them in the UK thow.
Did anyone tried one of those MSD ingnition systems on a F4R ?
I know there are gains on other kind of engines but I never heard of one on any clio, even heavily modified clios.
The 15 amp fuse frome the climate control keeps burning and the screen turns off. I guessed it was just a dirty fan, but I put the sistem on manual and turn the fan to minimum but it keeps burning. I tried tu turn of the AC and leave the fan on, it lasts a little longer but it burns anyway...
I´m thinking about taking some weight from my flyweel. I´ve read many post about rotating mass, torque, and stuff.
I wonder if a lightened flyweel would take some stress from the weak gearbox of the 172 clio.
The power steering it´s supposed to take mechanical power from the engine. In a revy engine as the 172 this may be a lot of power.
I wonder: if I remove de piston from the pump or just remove the whole thing and replace it with a regular "non power" steering the increase in power whould be...
I´m planning to put a 50 or 70 hp shot of nitrous (wet) on my clio 172. Since I don´t want to blow it up maybe I have to lower the compression, maybe 10.8 or something... The guys using nitrous what compression and nitrous dose are you using ?
I´m planning to put cam´s and possibly nitro on my 172 and I wonder if I would need a new clutch (I possibly would). A paddle clutch may be too much... So I´m asking you guys...
PD: I´m from Argentina...
The Jesus: If what you say is true, the only thing to do is to be nice and change the oil...
But you say some gears were damaged and the diff. I would be possible that only one of theese parts is weak and by beaking it made the whole box a mess?
Anybody could modify a gearbox to make it...
I´ve read many threads on gearboxes since I wrecked one. I don´t want that to happen again. Anybody knows how to modify the gearbox to make it more resistant to abuse ?
I don´t know welding aluminum somewere, using better bearings... better sync ... anything...
I´ve heard the stock ecu can´t handle the overlap they have "MAP" issues or something like it...
If the stock ecu is more capable of running cams ... what are the piggy backs for ?
I know the stock ECU can be remaped, but the cams I´m going to set up, are usually used on race cars with standalone management, they were never tested using stock ECU. Nobody is sure if those cams would work with just a remap. That´s why I´m asking about the piggy back.
I don´t want standalone...
I´m planning to install some cams on my 172 clio sport. Those cams were never tested on a standard ECU (remaped)... I´ll probably need a Piggy back.
I´ve read many threads on this but they were kinda confusing...
What´s the best piggy back for the F4R keeping the fbw throttle control.
Why...
Schick or Cat IF I can get somebody to ship them here are very expensive. The cams I´m takling about, since they are made here in Argentina are kinda 1/4 the price, so I´m very interested on making those cams work.
I can get the cams here AND a standalone ECU for the same price I can get Schick...
