Re: Cambelt c**kup After I brought the motor i found out that it should of had a cambelt done at 5 years, so they agreed to do it for me, as it was a big concern of mine.

cheers for that. they tell me that it got damaged when they were hand cranking the engine, and that the car runs but sounds lumpy when idling. sorry for sounding stupid but how would i know if the piston rings been damaged. as you can tell I dont know alot about engines.

Also had a similar problem, mine vibrated and almost felt as if the wheel was snatching in my hands when i cornered and on the straight. got the CV joint replaced which fixed it.

Just Brought a Clio 172 2 days ago and have also noticed a buzzing sound when I turn the ignition key, tracked the sound down to the interior light case, I'm going to take it apart to find out what's going on in there.
