Hi
So I'm thinking about buying a Clio Cup 200 track car, the thing is the owner has upgraded the cams and the oil has been change to 10W 40, is this a normal thing to do when doing engine upgrade as I know the car should be run on 5W 40?
Just remember if you do full service on the car, wash out the engine with plenty of hot water and fairy liquid to get all of that nasty grease out of the engine???
Do you know what. After reading all that. I think I am going too get a Mk2 172. You make very good reading. And some very true points between the cars.
True. But them Golfs are well built. And look great with some new low profile wheels on. What I want is the looks of the GTI and the performance of the 172.
It is not fear.
Hi you lot
I am in the market for a new car, Clio 172, or Golf GTI Turbo.
Would you say that a Golf GTI Turbo is as fast as a 172. Or would the 172 be a lot quicker because it has good power to weight ratio. What do you think.
Well, what els would you call a two seater RWD car. It is not a supercar. It is not a hot hatch being only 2 seats and having RWD. So what then.
And more to the point, have you driven a MX5!
That is what I hate about Renault. The Clio 172 182 should have been RWD, like the V6 full stop. But they completely miss the opportunity and f**k-up with FWD. Could have been a racing classic. Shame.
the MX5 is a classic little sports car, and as you said they are RWD which for me is mush better, and what a True sports car is all about. In fact, if this is the first time you have driven a RWD sports car, you well never what to go back.
But as you said also the 182 is bloody fast for a small...
