Wonder if anyone else with a 1.4 can tell me if their engine sometimes sounds like a diesel unit?
No rhyme or reason as to when it starts doing it, doesn't do it all the time, but sometimes as I park up the engine sounds very rough when idling. Is this normal?
Might take it in to Renault and...
Got ours in February. Good little car. Check for dents in the wings, they are paper thin. No rattles so far (touch wood) and compared to the Ka, build quality is much better. Good supportive seats, though not much room in the back.
Checked the oil for the first time in my 55 plate 1.4 clio. Had the car 3 weeks and I know its bad not to have checked until now.
Read the owners manual, guess what? Dipstick not in either of the places it said I would find it :rolleyes:

Same thing on my 2005. Going to rub some shin-etsu grease into the rubber seal and see if that works. It's just a silicone grease and normally does the job.
Could be your insurance company are actually fighting on your behalf. Seems to me from what you've written she is at fault. Maybe you have one of the few good insurance companies who understand how to look after a customer.
Taken the old headunit out, put my Pioneer unit in, leaving the yellow connector unplugged. Tried to hunt down a iso/din adapter but Halfords wanted £4.29 for one. Sod that, so no radio for a while (Maplins had run out!).

Mine have always come within 2 days. Guess the 5 day thing is just to cover themselves. It's all computerised now, so if dibble did pull you for it, it only takes a minute to check you are taxed on the computer system.
