    Pictures Of Your First Car!

I had a Mk2 XR2 in 1995 Was a cracking first car, twin side draught webers with no filters sounded great.

    Ford content.

I agree with the terrible forum, it is very out of date - I was beta testing the new one last month and that is much better.

    Front washers not spraying?

If the bottle has gunk in it just remove it and put it in a dishwasher - mrs might not like it but it works a treat. Then blow the pipes out with an airline, just to be sure there is nothing blocking them before refitting the bottle.

    Front washers not spraying?

does the pipe not run from the bottle, up the passenger bonnet hinge, then across the bonnet to the jets?

    Front washers not spraying?

If the pump is running check that the hose that runs down the bonnet/hinge isn't kinked when the bonnet is shut.

No Mate, I used to have a 4x4 Sapphire, had an Escort Cos last 7 years. Our 172 has been in our family since new, I've owned it twice (my brother had it for a year then I had it back), got to be 9 years in total now. Can't see me ever selling my 172, does everything I need. Good series 1 turbos...

There are 2 down there by the park lane tavern, one at the furniture place (with a very odd replacement grill) and another by the fence company that has awful alloys on. I only live 2 mins from there and see those all the time.

Hey up Kelv, How are you keeping? Do you miss your Ford?

Yep, Steve - he recently broke it for spares. Shame, but it wouldn't sell.

The rondells look so good as they were styled on the 18 inch optional Wolf wheels, which were a dealer option - mainly in Europe. Other Wolf parts could be spec'd up. These are quite rare additions, options were stuff like the wheels, extra rear spoiler, oil temp gauge rather than volt meter, 2...

depends on the size of brakes and caliper dimensions, I can't remember the offset of those 18 inch rep wheels, but you can get some pretty big calipers behind them.

I think I prefer the silver wheels.
  18. S

Yeah, they were silver when he had it - that is a more recent picture. Im sure it is the same car.

There is a user on here called Neil a - i'm sure that is his old car.

Totally agree, the quad lamps only suit certain colours, and I think the same about the wheels, sometimes they look out of proportion with the rest of the car.

No they aren't standard, they are aftermarket 18 inch versions that were commissioned. No way you'd get those front brakes behind the standard offset 16 inch ones.

    Much Deadness. Possible UCH Death

I can see why folk strip or scrap cars with this problem, sent mine away to be repaired, should be back tomorrow or early next week.

    Much Deadness. Possible UCH Death

The UCH has just failed on mine, it's causing a right headache.

Always had Fords myself: First car was a Mk2 XR2, ended up with 135hp engine with twin 40 dcoe webers. (whale tail on a mk2 was a good idea at the time, with hindsight it looked terrible) replaced the Fiesta after 2 years with an early 4x4 Sapphire that had a bare shell rebuild: Owned...

Yeah, it was a great couple of days. I've never known someone have such confidence in a car like Thiery did in that Fiesta, got to give credit to the guy.

    clio 172 decat?

I had a yozzasport decat on mine along with a single box system, it was just too loud. Sure it sounded great, but on the motorway it was unbearable. Got the standard cat back on now.

    rough idle cup 172

Just thought i'd resurrect this thread. My modded 2001 172 (RS tuning remap, matched inlet and throttle body, yozasportt cat back exhaust, noise valve removed from airbox) has developed this lumpy idle problem when warm, it doesn't try to cut out, it just stutters like it has a momentary...
