Hi, looking for the above, I have done a search but can't find an answer.
As I live in Dublin and I'm going for a geometry setting (car failed M.O.T. last friday on settings) and as the 172 mk2 was never sold here officially, Id like to have the settings to hand so that whoever I get to do it...
Hey ,I had a similar problem with my car, it drove perfectly straight until I hit the brakes and the car would dive to the left, the harder I hit the brakes, the worse the pull. It turned out to be the bushes in the front wishbone, as soon as I'd hit the brakes the left wheel would be pulled out...
Hey dude, I replaced the shocks and top mounts on my 172 and both the old mounts and new mounts turn with the wheels, they have a raced bearing built in to allow them to turn. I think the only way to eliminate "strut top knock" is to fit after market solid top mounts like the ones available from...
Thanks Fred, new shaft eh? Basically fixing the old one, in your opinion, is a false economy, as it'll go again soon enough anyway. I take it then the modified one utilises a more service friendly format?

God, I hope it isn't new shaft time, things are a bit tight at the moment, the car was driving fine, no noise or vibrations, it was spotted when i changed the tyres so i don't think it was like that for long.
Hi guys, hoping some one can help me on this as Renault ireland haven't a clue, they say there is 4 different types of boot and cant tell, even with my chassis number which one I need. I've attached a photo, if anyone can identify it or supply a part no for it, I'd be most grateful.
Easy mate, but do be careful when putting the u-bolts around the axle as there is some cabling attached to the top of it that you cant see from underneath, you don't want to trap any wires when you tighten the clamps!
215's look pretty good on it at the moment, like i said, i really like the wide tyre look, i dont expect everyone to, i just want to know what's possible to fit.
