man if i had the cash, this is one superb all round 172. :D
only 1 fault - you said in your ph ad that the air con was ready for the british summer??? whats all that about......i didn't think we had summer here in the british isle's?? lol
They are the same. You obviously are doing it correct ;) so the DVLA would know about the engine change and new emissions data. Other than that it is the same. A engineers report on the engine conversion would also be a bonus. Some insurer's etc can get funny if you dont have one!
were doing one, the 6 speed is massive and has the quattro on it to! 5 speed is the way forward. And to fit properly is an arse! You'll need sustom shafts if its going to properly! Good luck to you fella, good effort! 20vt are awesome
100% sorted the starting issue, carl has spent alot of time working it out lol, as well as cleaning the fuel out of his eye's! pmsl that was funny, i did help when i picked my self off the floor!
Soon to be mapped mate, will get some footage for ya! :)
The idle valve postion sensor had died. New TB and fault codes removed job done!
Now just the other stuff to sort,
gearbox........
de-cat.........
ecu.............
lol
It is one of the cam pullys. The one on the front of the engine. The back is the exhaust cam. worst case it should be £95+vat for the pully and then 3 hrs to fit. Cambelt should be ok to use again but id change it again if it was mine!
hope that helps!
I know how you feel ben, its not nice when things start getting said about you or the company involved. Speading lie's and old tales around CS without people knowing the real truth about what is going on and jumping on the band wagon taking the piss for the fun of it is wrong! I think people...
never mind john, all will come in all good time!! while in the mean time everytime i see you i will prod the throttle and shout jenveys, jenveys i love my f**king jenveys lol!! You loved it i think by the look on your face as you pulled away in shame pmsl
it does take a while for a workshop to warm up, i switch ours on at 9ish when i get in and its ready by 10 ready for a days work in warmth!! :)
hate the cold it sucks!!
Cool pics ben, you best get pimping your bitches to pay the rest lol
If it has a rotrex charger then the inlet temps are reduced to not being the "screw type" chargers. So no need really for a cooler. Although it may well be under the cover as theres loads of room down the passenger side! And i spot a nice ecu in the back there too...... ;)
quite true, my gf always hits holes and ours are still straight! they are tough things and tbh if you hit them enough to break then the standard stuff will too!
