So, after a while away from CS while spending the last 18Months restoring my Renault 5 GT Turbo, I am back.....
You might remember the last Kangoo project My Kangoo Cup Dci Build Thread
It starts again, with a slightly different spin on it this time.
I now have a 2003 (53) facelift Kangoo DCI...
Its great on fuel! Down to the weight I presume. Done quite a few bits since you last saw it to, mainly weight stripping, battery relocation, filter relocation, 15's rather than the heavy 172 16s etc.
I had loads of people on here trying to get me to sell it to them when I finished it, but nobody seems to come up with the cash. Don't want it to go to a muppet really, so much gone into it, but times must!
I looked into it, but I don't think the box would handle much abuse, and they sit about a foot higher than mine so it would take a lot of work I think. Does not really have any traction issues so far though, but once I have upgraded discs and pads + 15" wheels, it's going upto blyton raceway to...
I had the chance to meet Lee and have a look at his car today, and it is very interesting after a closer look......
First of all, it is a minter!
The rear tyres ARE the original factory items with a DOT code of year 2000.
The most interesting thing was under the bonnet.
The engine looks like...
It handles very well, and you don't really notice the height to be fair. It seems to pick the inside front wheels up a bit under hard cornering under hard throttle a bit, but nothing to bad. The clio ARB has helped a lot.
