yeah i'll port the inlet thats a must but unsure what to do with the exhaust ports weather leaving small like the 182 heads or oepening up like the 172 heads unsure which will help the engine breath better:S
yeah i know the 182 manifold gives the extra bhp, jus wonderin if i stick a head on with the ports drilled out or not and which way round will help the engine breath better. i'm still unsure as to why the 172 to ports are huge and the 182 ones arnt, basically which combination do you think will...
also another thing u gonna struggle timing yr engine up without renault timing tools, the bottom pulley isnt on a key way, once u undo that 18mm yr ****ed without the timing pin to lock the crank up:(
you need a e14 socket to undo head bolts, also when fitting new valves you need to grind em in, i would avoid getting parts from renault as it will cost lot of £. pm us if u struggling with out i'm a renault mechanic..
hi can any one tell me why on the 172 cylinder head the exhaust ports are drilled out and matched to the exhaust manifold whilst the 182 cylinder head exhaust ports are untouched and dont match the the exhaust manifold?
they may fail it on that light being on its a safety thing for the car. only way around it is to strip the clocks down and rip the led's off. thats what i had to do with mine.
Re: Any one worl for Renault??
ring 01254 386661 renault specialist breakers. i work their its like aladdins cave for bit, im sure they will have what you need:D
you need to swap the pump. the 1.2 clio Rn clio doesn't have a fuel pressure regulater in the pump it is part of the injection rail on the 1.2 engine whilst on the 172 the fuel pump has a pressure regulator built into the pump
suppose their aint much else you can check. their gearbox is really awkward to take out of them so their is bound to be scuff marks. you can check your gearbox oil level though. if you have got a standard filter you might not be able to do it without any tools. About half way down the fornt of...
If you can see under yr air filter their is a clutch fork under it with the cable attatched. check all the spacers are all on the same side. and try and try and give that clutch fork a wiggle with the cable disconnected. also check yr n/s/f inner drive shaft boot for leaks. if turn it onto full...
low gear box oil would not affect the release bearing in the clutch. low gearbox oil would damage the bearings in the box. does the noise go away when you press the clutch?
Does yr pedal creak at all. if so try sprayong some wd40 on the moving parts of the clutch pedal. if not it could be yr release bearing in the gear box. if you have done alot of miles it may need replacing
if your removing the airconditioning pump. you'll have to change the multi function bracket and get one off a 172. And you'll need different pas pipes as the pas pump is situated in a different place.not sure if effects insurance though the gas flow manifold is worth doing, got on on mine. but...
Hi
anyone know where the best place is to get my standard ecu re mapped to cope with high lift cams:evil: , gas flow manifold and cold air flow induction system. and how much it will cost me. cheers
i had to swap everthing. dash loom, uch, loom to rear lights and sender unit, wiper mechanism. but i left the original dash in so my hazard light switch and central locking switch wiring are hanging loose. the rear lights i swapped the pins in the connector around and the front lights i just...
