I love that clip. Bought my car off the back of seeing that. Not many cars on the road as special as the Clio V6 and well worth the money they are now.
The Vee is a great car. It is a rarity that has never been properly understood but in a way that is what makes it so special. I love reading comments about how they are not fast and can be outrun by a 182 or the likes... depends who is driving I guess. I have only ever come up across on 182 who...
Would be an interesting test. I think what people are sceptical about is the car becoming heavier? The one overiding thing that makes the 182 what it is is lightness... think back to the original Golf GTi and then what it was a few years ago – maybe not quite the same (and certainly nowhere near...
MK2 is a bit more powerful and has more friendly handling. It is the better car but they are both special.
No comparion to a 172/182. The two cars are completely different. The 182 is a very competent FWD lightweight hot hatch. It was designed to get some people in the back and fit the shopping...
I doubt you'll find one for £14k. I saw that red one and it was only a fiver short of £15k. Did see a blue one ages ago for the same. £16k seems more like the bottom of the prices for the MK2 at the moment. Not that many of them around so it could well be keeping the prices up a bit.
I went...
V6 no question really. I use mine as a daily driver and I think it is a practical choice compared with what I would have in place of it (Noble or Exige).
The Megane is a nice looking car (even the rear!) but it is also based on an ordinary front wheel drive chassis and primarily designed for...
I thought the 197 was supposedly a bit to lardy? And that the one thing that made the 182 the car it is was lightness?
Personally I wouldn't buy either but I have to say, I'd especially not buy a 197 as it looks like a sh1tstabber's car. A teenage girl would look great in one but anyone else...
Probably quite a good car for old people who are too old to drive proper performance cars any more. Can you imagine trying to get into something like an Exige at 80?!
Personally I don't think the 197 counts as a 'proper' performance car and as previously mentioned it has none of the charm that the last two models had. For the money they cost you could have bought a decent used car. But then all of us look for different things in a car – I hope you enjoy...
Aye. Wax is on the car and not rubbed off before the rain :(
If I get it off, would it be OK just to apply another coat? Surely these products are water based anyway?
Some one on here is bound to know the answer to this; washed the car this morning, dry it off and park it in the shade to apply Meguirer's Polish. Goes on and off no problem. Then I apply the Carnuba wax. Just as I get the last bit on the car (so it is totally covered in the stuff) the rain...

– Original car and as such has a bit more of a classic feel about it
– They are much cheaper to buy (as they are older)
– Mostly silver
– Has a question mark over its 'on the limit handling'
– Jenson Button had one

– Revised styling (arguably not as pretty)
– Better equipment and better...
I wouldn't quite go that far, it is no Ferrari. Interestingly though the Kosovans at the car wash I used in central London on Friday were calling it the 'Ferrari special'. It is a car that captures the imagination.
No question a Scooby is faster and much easier to drive. They just don't do it...
