Re: PH1 172 Track Car, abit special *ITB update*
Looks good guys, you two have been very busy since the last time i saw this car at croft, the usual crew from trackaction will be at croft on the 31st so will be fun to have a few laps and see if i can still keep up.
Been busy myself and...
Not my BMW though,, not even close and the white E30 m3 would have pi@@ed all over them.
There was only an R26.R that put up a fight, the Clio's were just to slow tbh.
Its not a Renault but it is at least chasing a Renault, the red shed complete with M52 rides again. LOL
oulton and very slippery.

I do have more footage as i passed your clio a couple of times that day,, bit of a surprise to me as i am giving away about 40bhp and carrying more weight.
Watching your car corner was interesting as it was on 3 wheels with quite a bit of understeer and leaving two black lines of rubber,, it...
saw this in the back of a clio V6 and a couple of others at croft all were going well and sound superb,, would look tasty too through the back window of a clio.
I have to say I am a little surprised that you have not seen a vee on bodies Ali knowing your track connections.
I still go to watch the odd race meeting these days and I have seen a few rallycross V6s running throttle bodies very very successfully.
bit of vid and for the cynics who say oh...
Ok thanks for the advice, if i did decide on a few mods the KWs would be first then have it set up to hopefully make best use of a set of R888s which the camber adjustment built into the KWs should allow.
plus have a few other subtle tweaks in mind to improve things further and finally look...
Am thinking of giving the Clio V6 a bit of a boost but am not keen to go by way of forced induction but would like to achieve over 300bhp maybe 320 if possible.
So I was wondering after cams, exhaust and induction and maybe fitting a motec ECU to run the engine management are there any ITBs...
no i dont think it is, and it was not meant to be.
calling a car shite, bollox crap and that sort of thing is rude, just have a look what happens to V6 owners on here.
its only my opinion, you guys rate it i dont and never will i would much rather have a 182/172 if i had to have another...
still sat there talking shite eh jon you f**king pond life.
I have never made it past the first sentence of any of your posts as they are just the usual obnoxious s**t laden drivel that is your trade mark you dumb f**k.
you’re like a 3 year old baby playing to the gallery for a reaction...
you are so utterly full of shite fella a total plank and have yet offered nothing to the thread thats worth reading.
as ever spoil the thread when you loose the argument the usual williams trick.
just pond life.
for a car to be called a legend it surely has to achieve something that puts it above ALL of the others, escorts did in there day minis did in there day the williams clio has achieved nothing.
on that basis i say its just an average car, cheap fun and thats it nothing more, and to me the...
first did not bother with the video not interested.
second I am not your friend, I find you a rather unpleasant ignorant and worthless plank tbh and as I said as soon as you shot your mouth off how long will it be before the conversation descends into your usual snide back biting and personal...
well i have watched V6 owners get pulled to bits on this site for daring to say they like there cars, all those that jumped down their throats were never accused of trolling or being immature.
so just for once a vee owner makes a point of what he honestly thinks of the williams and suddenly...
yes agreed they are good cheap fun and they are quick a perfect little track car,, but please lets not go overboard it is what it is no more.
for the same money and much cheaper i could and would buy an old E30 325i not for outright pace but because for smiles per miles its more fun.
plus...
no , its the williams is average in the big scheme of the cars avialable, its just that you all seem to be stuck in such a small pool with no vision of what is beyond that.
there are better drives out there, i have an E30 track car and for a trackday i would pick it over a williams every...
ok russ for me to drive and enjoy more i need rear wheel drive pure and simple so if you ask me to pick a car as cheap as a williams i cant can i as rear steer costs more now.
so of its generation, sierra cossie, M3 that sort of thing, i would get so much more pleasure from them than i ever...
exactly my point, i would not go so far as to call them shopping trolleys but the rest yes thats exactly it, its the level of driver input and reward, not always how fast but how much of a joy to drive.
and with that in mind there are far better drives than a wiliams if you care to look around.
oh and i owned a 182 cup for a year before the V6.
plus RS2000
MK1 escort lotus twin cam
a mini plus a rallycross mini raced for 8 years
etc etc over many years.
your talking about cars in the same class, i am talking about all cars and i honestly believe there are far better cars of that generation.
as i said the mini was bottom of the heap the cheapest car money could buy at the time yet it beat them all on road or track, a legend guys so lets not...
never said the vee was winning never said it was a legend never claimed it to be a great car,, never said it could beat every wild driver in a stripped out shed.
thejesus brought the vee into this not me.
i said i thought the williams average thats my opinion, i said a standard V6 is...
good, LOL
and i think your argument was lame and lost even before you started. :rasp:
ah the grammer lesson, LOL when all else fails try twist the thing around.
