When I took my car to Renault for a diagnostics test they couldn't read my ECU properly as it had been remapped....
This got me thinking, would Renault be able to Program a new Key for me?
I'm sure i read a while back there was a company who could program new keys etc in cases like this...
i have the same problem!.....idles at 2k when dipping clutch, very sluggish and cuts out if you drive too fast and then slow down quickly....may give this a try!
would the part above fit a ph2 172 as well?
don't worry mate, if I'm really stuck there's a few mates i can call upon....and if it comes to it there's a garage 1min away from my house i can take it to :)
lol thanks for all your concerns guys, i may be stupid when it comes to fixing cars but not as stupid to go out driving it before im sure i have it correct...
i like to get stuck in and have a mess....if im not sure when i've 'finished' i'll get my mate round to help

I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to 'mechanics' so could do with the following advice as I'm pretty sure i haven't fitted these 100% correct!

Also took these pieces of the old shock but...
interesting thread....
i just received my KTR ones, wish I'd have seen this thread a couple of days ago ha
good to see everyone seems happy with them so far, and like said many times before, for £160 you can't moan!
has anyone compared the KTR part numbers against these yet?

disconnected speaker....alarm still went off....
disconnected boot int light....alarm hasn't gone off yet and it's been armed for about hr n half....fingers crossed that's the problem!
ok so after taking the interior panels off and disconnecting the driver speaker, window motor and rear interior boot light the alarm stopped going off!....BUT then after a week the car wouldn't start!
I've had crack sensor changed, new battery and new alternator in the past week and the problem...
that don't surprise me mate, Reno don't have a clue about most things lol ...was it a costly job mate?...might try and get hold of one and replace myself if that's possible...
I'll try and keep this quick...
Alarm keeps going off every 30mins without fail, tried turning the interior sensors off - no joy.....the light by the gear stick is flashing once suggesting door, bonnet or boot has been opened BUT all sensors should work as lights go off when doors closed and...
I had same problem, was 21 when i bought my car new from Renault....only way i can think of getting around it is take out a policy then make sure you cancel within the 14day cancellation period? - obviously there will probably be a charge so could work out expensive!
thnx Burnz....checked my interior light and boot light and all go off when doors are shut....
the bonnet sensor is unplugged yet the alarm still goes off every 30mins and the light flashes once to suggest door, boot or bonnet opened....
I don't get it :(
had the same with mine, chambers 3 & 4 had small deposits of oil in them, as said above just left mine as not really causing any problems at the momment
Every 20 - 40mins my alarm will keep going off!
I've checked the flashing light by the gear stick and it's flashing once indicating a door, bonnet or boot has been opened.....
So i've unplugged the bonnet sensor but this hasn't worked so next I'm going to unplug the door and boot sensors...
