I know some of you might have read my last topic.
I changed my ex's sisters front pads today, anyway.
My god one of the easiest things ive ever done on a car!
So she got quoted £140 to changed just the front pads. Undo bolt lift caliper, push piston in, lift out pads, put new ones in...
In my previous post i mentioned about brake pads
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=179112
anyway im going to do them tomorrow
Now from what i understand the caliper swings up pivioting on the bolt thats slackened off?
So when putting it back together whats the correct...
thats people and edde....
edde... how are you so sure it wont effect the warranty? from what the other people say a dealership could blame failure on dust, although never having a car fitted with ABS ever i wouldnt know if the sensors will pack up with dust.
Hey all,
Two rather simple questions for you lot.
My ex's sisters got a 1.2 late 2005 clio...obviously.
Anyway shes just been quoted £140 to change the front brake pads. (bloody hell!!)
Anyway i said i would do it for her, £15.99 for the pads.
So the question is will it effect her...
thanks for the replys people, however this chap has gone against his word and decided that i have "twisted" the underneath of his car....*insert WFT smilie*
Dispite not owning a clio anymore i find myself back on here. Although it seems to have changed format!
I had a little bump....into yes you guessed a clio. Although hardly any damage was done.
The chap said that some plastic clips were broken underneath so he was wanting to make a claim...
I sold my mk1 clio abit ago but my girlfriends sister has a 2004 (i think) clio.
Shes wanting abit more "poke"
I dont really think it would be worth doing anything and its going to be costly for any small gain.
Whats possible to be done to it and how much? chips, filters, etc
