My old valver... miss it just wondering if its still kicking about :)

Think i've seen your car around ilkley, work nights at tesco's there used to drive a modified blue j'reg valver :)

Took my old citroen axgt there a few years back for a rolling road tune.. now i have heard the stories but my old axgt went like a rocket after it was properly setup on LAD's rollers.

Akin to the 4.5k kick you get in a valver.... noticable (i.e it starts to shift) but nothing special !

You'll probly get around 105bhp at the wheels, most valvers dont kick out the book 137 ponies.

I seriously do not like the new shape clios... i think they look bloody awful!! Car styling has lost its way imho!

You would know if the bearings had siezed as it would destroy the cambelt, best thing to do is get it to a garage and get it checked out as it may be something else causing the noise... hard to pinpoint without seeing the car

Think he means the cambelt tensioner and idler pulleys... get noisy with age! Tbh if they are that noisy just replace them both aswell as the timing belt for a piece of mind..

Used ashley before cheap and very loud, also can be a pig to fit on some cars also mild steel! Good for the price tho :)

Some valvers are dog slow m8, others are quick.. 19s definitely wouldnt have helped... waay too big !

i try to avoid 'ragging' my valver, but the noise they make begs you to do it sometimes !

Possibly, but im guessing the bore size is slightly larger on the valvers? correct me if im wrong tho :)

if its boiled over its also likely to have warped the cylinder head

Might have had a piperx filter on it as they do whistle a fair bit

My old axgt was miles quicker than the clio rt i had..... but now i think i'll keep my 16v ;)

*Picking my hybrid up from LTR tomorrow* how much do ltr charge for a hybrid conversion i.e - sourcing and fitting the engine? cheers

Get yourself a custom system made up, can be had for more or less the same money as an aftermarket system.
