the dial is the oil level, it rises when you put the ignition on and then drops when the engine is running.
got a mk1 k reg on 54k all genuine millage as it spent the first 10 yrs of its life on the isle of man and only did 14k, we have done the rest
work charges £17.50
thats £8 for the repair, £5.25 for re balcancing and £4.25 for a new valve.

it is possible as i have seen it done, as on most fiestas they have std bearings that are easily over tightened, thats if they did the job properly and removed the drums to ajust the handbrake
92 RT 57K was on 14k in 2000 when we bought it, it came from the isle of man so couldnt really go anywhere.

you wont have much luck with the warrenty as its out. they try everything to get out of replacing anything on warrenty when it is within the warrenty period
iirc the price was that much as they had to buy the parts from renault but through unipart/part co. after...
