So I’m over in Germany and my Clio 182 keeps having a light come up on dash and power cuts to limp mode. If I turn car off and on again straight away it works fine?? Any suggestions only seems to happen when it gets hot and had some abuse but not sure if that’s coincidence or not as temp gauge...
Thanks for this but I have seen these, the problem is the oem hangers don’t ever line up right and then if you can get it into the hanger the exhaust is so off line it’s unreal.

Can some one tell me why when I look for them they are all square but I have these on the car ? Can’t seem to find the same ones. I need all 3 replacing.

So I’m now down to 2000 rpm on idle after re sitting and tightening the bolts. Would you suggest there is still an air leak on the intake side or am I missing something??.

The breather plate on 172 has a bit sticking up into the manifold however the 182 manifold doesn’t have that slot ? And the breather plates aren’t the same? So the 182 manifold doesn’t sit correctly on the 172 block?.

Still got the 172 inlet on it?. The 182 I let wouldn’t fit ? Have I missed a trick when putting it on the 172 engine ?

Hi guys, just put a new engine in my car went to turn it on and it will start but won’t stop reving so have to turn it straight off again. Any ideas on where I have gone wrong ? Or what the cause is?.

Can anyone give me a rough idea of the of labour needed to change. Canbelt/dephaser. And auxbelt/tensioner?. Or the book time to do this please. On a Clio 172 engine.
I’m in Southampton area so if you can also recommend anyone that is good that would be great.

Have taken the engine out of the Clio today to swap it for another one, I have to swap the lions over to. I have everything off but the loom runs between to main block and the inlet manifold. Is there any easy way to remove this or will I have to take the manifold and injectors out to get the...
Yup my previous car the gearbox felt a bit more spaced out. Went to drop a gear and then had an oh sh*t moment when I realised what I had just done!

I went from 5th to 2nd at about 80mph and it went bang [emoji23]
Yeah I will get my hands on a 172 engine and stuck it in there hopefully soon as planning a trip over to Germany in the new year where I will probably blow it up again [emoji23]

Yeah well I can’t find a decent 182 engine for the life of me, however 172 engines seem to be really common. I have got my current engine ready to the point where it needs to be lifted out but haven’t got a replacement for it yet.
How did you find putting it back in? Thinking I’m going to have...
