Joe - It's circuit days from memory
Best to have one, so question now is how do I get one sorted before Thursday ?
I hear OMP do one but needs a bit of modding, can do a bit of tinkering beforehand but probably wont find time to get bumper off etc
Hi Guys,
I'm booked in at Brands this coming Thursday and the car I had planned to use now has issues and I want to use my 172 so as not to loose out totally.
Do I need a tow eye to get on track ? will they turn me away without one ?
Cheers
Paul
Went to change the coolant yesterday, was intending to just pop off the bottom hose but quickly realised there was a lump of metal in the way
What's the best way of getting hands and tools in to spread the clip ?
Is it an easy DIY job ?
I note it's not due going by the schedule until 144k but I'll be there in a couple of months and wondering if it's a doable job ?
I saw some on ebay last night for £25, once in ECP the list price was £41 from memory and seeing as they didn't have them then and there I said to the guy I'd leave it. Whilst waiting around for my other bits he casually asked how much I'd seen them for, to which I replied on ebay for £25 and...
Thanks for all the replies and just a quick update that may help someone in the future
As said very simple job to replace injectors, I bought one from ECP as had a fault code on cylinder 3, replaced it and idle was better but EML came on soon enough.
Changed the plugs as the next step, again...
Lovely thanks, I'm told the injector that Euro's list is the correct one ?
I also read something about disconnecting the fuel pump to get pressure out of the system ?
Hi,
Is replacing an injector a relatively easy job on a 172 ?
I've got a really lumpy idle accompanied by a misfire code of cylinder 3, 99% it'll be an injector
DIY job or not ?
Cheers
Paul
Cheers Guys,
Interesting and thanks for the link.
Was just thinking that when you have to pay retail money for labour for repairs it doesn't take many running repairs on a used motor and you're almost better just getting a fresh build with new ancillaries.
I've got a squealy PAS pump and to...
Guys
How much would you be looking at to get a motor rebuilt as new to standard spec ?
Nothing updated, just take an old motor and rebuild back up with all new parts by one of the reputable specialists
Hi,
Bit of a newbie question
I've just bought a Ph2 172 and picked up a second set of wheels to put something more track orientated onto.
Both sets of wheels are standard 16's, the car currently has 195/45/16's, is it ok to run 205/45/16's as well ?
Also, what options are out there for track...
Hi All,
First post on here, just bought a Ph2 172 at the weekend for a bit of fun.
Great little car and very happy with it, however there are a couple of jobs that need doing.
I have the usual knocking above 5k so it'll need engine/ gbox mounts sorting, there's also a whine from what I think...
