    iPhone washing machine problem. Fixable?

I'm no tech wizard so will probably get shot down for this. But I've had a couple water drenched phones that were still recognised by a pc. They wouldn't turn on manually but would connect to a pc and allow me to get stuff off. May be worth a shot? As another poster said, water damage is odd as...

PB 172. The morning after RS

Not much to update apart from getting it ready for MOT and more odd jobs found. Still haven't managed to find the cause of the fan not coming on so I've wired up a manual in car switch for the mo. Also got round to replacing the decat yeaterday with a genuine cat and centre section. As I don't...

    Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor

I've played this briefly and really enjoyed it so I'm going to buy it at some point. It can get repetitive IF you let it, as in if you're only interested in charging in trying to batter the whole of mordor head on then it's going to get boring very quick. But if you've got half an imagination...

Fuses have been checked a thousand times haha

    The £10,000 detail

Also I know some of the more 'specialist' detailers clearly do quite well for themselves but if you compare what they've charged for a particular detail and compare it to the hours they've spent on the car, it often can work out to less than £20 an hour. Then factor in the overheads etc...

    The £10,000 detail

Nothing new, rich and poor people are exploited everyday with branding, brand promises and hype over certain products.

    The £10,000 detail

Horses for courses. If you've got a Ferrari or a Bugatti etc and want the car looking its utter best then why not? I personally wouldn't pay it but then my wages aren't anywhere near the same level of the clients who use these services, although I can understand people paying for it. It's the...

    Radiator fan not kicking in

I'd checked all the wires when I was trying to find an immob fault (turned out to be an earth strap). I'm going to do a manual setup for the time being and then after Xmas get it on clip and see what's going on properly

    Radiator fan not kicking in

So what should I be looking at next? As you can tell I'm a bit of a noob with auto electrics but would rather try and learn before sending it to the garage.

    Radiator fan not kicking in

I'd like to report that the problem is fixed but I can't :@ Today I stripped all the trunking and tape off the wires going from the radiator plugs and traced them back to the relay board, no breaks, took all the relays out and tested them, all were clicking with 0 resistance, all the relay bases...

    Radiator fan not kicking in

As said above, voltage is approx 12.4v at the relay base. Fan plug wires are connected properly at both ends.

    Recommend a Snow Foam Lance..

Surely anything that's designed to clean isn't entirely 'wax safe' even if a product is ph neutral/balanced.

    Recommend a Snow Foam Lance..

As far as I've been told the common snow foam lances are all made by the same company. People saying the Autobrite ones (and believe me I've used/use ALOT of AD gear) are better are getting carried away with the red instead of black details. It's the same as the standard ones inside, just looks...

    Radiator fan not kicking in

Finally got the time to try bridging the relay today. I tried the smaller relay on the right in the above pic. The middle one is for the starter, left is something to do with the throttle body (when I unplug it the throttle body stops buzzing) so the right one must be one of the fan speeds. No...

[Dec 13, 2014] Plymouth Mini Karting Meet (Plymouth Karting)

It is still going ahead. As I don't want to hijack this thread, for any CS members in the plymouth/saltash area would like to meet beforehand please PM me

    Radiator fan not kicking in

I'm getting like 12.4 I think at the relay bases

    Radiator fan not kicking in

Will do, if it doesn't turn on the fan can I assume there's a break between the relay and the fan plug?

    Radiator fan not kicking in

Mine has aircon. I don't see the fan coming on when A/C is on

    Radiator fan not kicking in

Ok, I know what you meant by testing the relays, was just mentioning that power is getting to the bases of the relays. According to this: http://www.getflat.co.uk/pics/PLATFUSI-14.pdf One of the bigger relays does control the fan (relay A). So one of the larger ones for high speed, then a...

    Radiator fan not kicking in

No luck with unplugging the sensor. The bases to the relays are getting a good current, so can I assume there's either a dodgy relay or a break in the wiring between the relay(s) and the fan plug?
  23. J

    Radiator fan not kicking in

I'll give it a go now. Are any of the larger relays for the fan?
  24. J

    Radiator fan not kicking in

I also noticed this hanging down by the rad: But doesn't seem to plug into anything?
  25. J

    Radiator fan not kicking in

I've tried unplugging the coolant temp sensor whilst the engine was running but the fan didn't kick in. I will double check the fan connector again today, but then surely that will only get power when the relay switches? I'm going to get some 5amp wire and clips to test the relays today, I've...

    Radiator fan not kicking in

On my 172 PH2 the rad fan doesn't come on as I discovered when it overheated during MOT :@. The temp gauge works fine and sits at a constant level when driving, doesn't shoot up when waiting at the lights etc. I've sent a 12v current to the fan and it comes on fine. There's no loose/dodgy wires...

    Nissan Silvia S15 Spec R

Love the s15's. Although I've always wanted an s13, don't know why it's just something about them.

Money no object, what would you buy for your Clio ??

I'd buy a wand to transform it into an R34 skyline.
