Hi all, I have recently fitted a yozzasport race exhaust on my 172. The problem I have is it sounds loud and nice at low revs under 3k, but when you put your foot down and go over 3k it sounds stock. It isn't decatted, any ideas what could be the cause or problem, could a duff cat cause bad sound?
I have my dash out and I've scratched the paint off to get a good earth. It could be down to a bad earth yes. I've just changed my battery as it was only holding 12v dead, needed about 12.4v to start. So measure what your battery is, and try some jump leads, if it still doesn't start with them...
Having the plug on wouldn't make any difference as it's just connecting the wire to pins. The resistor will get hot as current is flowing through it. You could try fitting a new plug and getting a top part of carbon canister and plugging it in.
Yeah that batt light doesn't work when the plug is taken out of the alt, there's an issue with that wire /plug to not get the batt light with just ignition on.
